Staff was super nice and accommodating. The location was perfect for Universal Studios. We loved how close it was to the shuttle. However, it was a little sketchy walking back to the hotel at night. The hotel itself felt very safe though. Room was simple, but the price couldn’t be beat.

This is an older property with rooms on the smaller side, but it is very clean and the staff is great! It is within walking distance of Universal, but it is a 15 minute walk with a STEEP hill to go up to get to the park. We made the walk twice, it is tiring, but not terrible. There is a shuttle that goes to the park very close to the hotel. Overall, the location is great. There is a grocery store just down the street and several restaurants nearby. Roadside Tacos a few doors down is fantastic. Enjoyed our stay here. We were not in the room much because we were at Universal. Very good location and a clean hotel.

The staff was nice and our room smelled and looked clean. There was plenty of places to walk to in case you want food or other things. Universal Studios was not far and you can walk to catch the shuttle bus. We did hear the people on the 2nd floor above us and the parking spaces were a bit tight but we liked out stay.

Depressing small room
If you are seeking a hotel in close proximity to Universal Studios, this hotel will meet your requirements. It is indeed within walking distance, approximately a 5-minute walk across two busy roads, where you can board the shuttle bus. While it is possible to walk to the studios themselves, it is worth noting that the route involves an uphill climb, the shuttle buses operate frequently Now, regarding the hotel itself, the initial impression may be somewhat dated and perhaps slightly unsettling due to its location on a busy main road. The car park is notably small, and the reception area is secured, requiring guests to be buzzed in. Additionally, there is an extra tax per night that may not have been previously communicated, and a substantial amount of paperwork to complete upon check-in. It is also important to be aware of the unusual rule that guests will be charged if blood is found on the bedsheets. The hotel room itself was to be the smallest we've encountered during our numerous road trips to America. The initial impression of the decor may be somewhat depressing, and the bedroom furniture appears well-worn. The table next to the bed poses a safety hazard, and the bathroom is quite compact, lacking adequate storage space On a positive note, the room was clean, the cleaning staff try to make it a pleasant environment for guests. However, what wasnt mentioned was the noise from the traffic which did keep us awake.

It was super close to Universal studios and that's what we wanted. Very friendly and informative staff. Lowest price for the location and even though the surrounding area was eh, the hotel area itself felt safe. They had cameras everywhere so I felt as though my car was protected. Even though the room was small it was again, exactly what we needed. We weren't even in it much since our reason for being there was universal. The little plaza on the corner right by the hotel had some good food spots too and if you're getting drinks there's a liquor store right there too. Overall great place to stay, I'd stay again!

It's clean. It's close. Don't ask for much more. We ordered the 2 Queen room. Arrived to a small 2 double room, which didn't go well with my two teenage kids. Plus the AC was right by a bed, so it was either be really warm or freezing cold for the nearest person. They got us switched for our second night, but that meant lots of packing twice. The second room was much better. The area around it ain't the friendliest, but that's L.A. There's a donut shop next door, so that's a plus for breakfast. If you're looking for a walking distance (walk to the shuttle a few blocks over), this is a good, cheap choice. If anyone in your family is a hotel snob, don't.
