Playa Grande Resort & Grand Spa offers 260 air-conditioned accommodations, which are accessible via exterior corridors, and features a safe and coffee/tea makers. Rooms open to balconies or patios. Pillowtop beds feature down duvets. A pillow menu is available. Guests can make use of the in-room full-sized fridge/freezers and microwaves. Bathrooms include baths or showers with a deep soaking bath and a rainfall showerhead, and hairdryers.

Most everything was a positive, One issue that we did encounter at check in was that they couldn't find our information initially which was concerning, the other issue was when we were leaving the Concierge could not verify our pickup shuttle even after providing her a reservation number and a phone number to call which was a little stressful especially when we had a plane to catch. she made no attempt to help!

Great, friendly activities staff including Aimee, Jair, Eduardo, Umberto and many others. Lots to do onsite including water aerobics, pool volleyball, ping pong and corn hole tournaments. The Mexican Fiesta was also fun.

Everything was nice but when I was checking out, they said I owe a fee for the pool bar, but I could’ve sworn I paid it with my credit card. I never charge it to my room, but she said I did and I couldn’t find my receipt.

The ads don't tell you that the beach in front of the hotel is not swimmable, it is permanently closed, so if you want to go into the ocean you have to go somewhere else. Also, staff is not very honest. I accidentally left my watch in the gym while I worked out and nobody else was there, but when I left and called later to retrieve my watch "nobody had seen it" and didn't know what happened to the watch. The cleaning crew most have taken it and didn't report it. They have a lost and found department, but it looks it is just to make guests feel secure, but they could not locate my watch. I will never go back there.
