There was a smell in the room that was overwhelming. The food was not prepared properly. I ordered lobster ravioli and smelled it before it got to the table and had to send it back. The liquor was cheap. Every member of the group came back with some type of stomach issue.

The property was beautiful! It was clean!! The staff and housekeeper was amazing!! The entertainment was more for children. The food was mediocre. The 4th day we all became ill with stomach issues. We visited with other guest that had the same issue. We did not drink the water! So was it the food? Ice?? We don’t know?? Our safe in the room malfunctioned 3 times. They were prompt to fix it. Our tv quit working but they were prompt to replace it also! Kinda had to beg for coffee replenishment in our room…even though we tipped the housekeeping every day! Overall it was beautiful and the staff was great! You can not swim in the ocean!!

Employees at all levels were 5 STAR! The outside entertainment at night was loud and awful. We could not sleep at night with the entertainment stage blaring music that was meant for children. Would NEVER stay at that part of the resort for this reason. Dulce, the server at night was so AMAZING every night with hospitality. Yanet, could not have been better every morning with breakfast. She was SO accommodating! GAIL. OMG the best bartender ever. We've been coming to RIU for 11 years and they have always taken care of us! WE owe them all so many many more tips than we left, but they still owe me a RIU ballcap! Ransom! THANK YOU ALL AT RIU PALACE!!!

Overall, we had a nice time on our honeymoon, mostly because of the servers and bartenders who were fantastic. We did have one negative experience where our bathroom ceiling was leaking heavily through the light fixtures, and it took 4 phone calls and over an hour for someone to come. We then spoke with the front desk who wanted us to move our room at 8:30pm, pack up, and move again to a comparable room in the morning. We asked what the resort was able to do for the inconvenience and we were told by the front desk person, the customer service rep, and the manager that they could offer us champagne or a dinner reservation. I found this incredibly rude as you don’t even need a reservation for dinner, and you can get champagne whenever you want. We felt very dismissed and no one seemed apologetic or sincere which put a major damper on our honeymoon.

The property was dirty, the staff were rude the drinks were horrible and the food had no variety and made you sick everytime you ate it. We have been to mexico over 10 times and this was the worst experience. We wont be returning to Cabo San lucas Or the RIU Hotel

No elevators to ground level, only to 1. Made it hard for handicapped mother to enjoy the lunch areas or move about pools. Drinks all tasted like they’re premade, lacked flavor compared to dreams resorts we stay at often. No vent in bathroom.

Riu Palce is absolutely beautiful. Friendly staff and comfortable property. I would highly recommend. We have noticed in the times we have used Hotels.com at each property the room we are placed in is always next the the elevators and maid's closets/rooms. It is noisy, busy, and not very clean in the area just ouside the employees work area. Apparently the hotels.com rooms are not top quality or run of the house, but the less desirable rooms on the properties. it is most discouraging.

Had an amazing time great customer service excellent food choices . We really appreciate the warm hospitality from couple great team members. Ana bartender on 3rd floor next to check in area . Alex server at Italian restaurant and breakfast buffet he really went out of his way to help us but not just us everyone.

The food at the buffet wasn’t the best. I had an amazing dinner at the steakhouse but others in my group weren’t as lucky. Italian restaurant was ok. Need more fun activities at the pool to keep guests involved

Great place to stay, 15 min cab ride from the Cabos marina/city center, 45 min from the airport, and right across from the Arch landmark/Land’s End rock formations. Lots of options for exploring on your own, or as part of organized tours. Great food as well!

Was a great trip to Riu Palace. Staff was excellent property was clean. Food was good but sit down options for children were lacking. Had access to Riu Santa Fe. Great waterpark for the kids. Make sure to bring your towels if going to the other resorts they will exchange towels. But not give you new ones with the towel card provided. Great for kids and families. The Sante Fe side is definitely more wild and crowded. Would definitely recommend. And would stay again.
