Like the location of The Inn on the Wharf. Only thing that I didn't realize was that there was no a/c (but it is Maine), it was 88 degrees and in August. We were able to get a fan, and it was fine. Staff was extremely helpful and nice.
This is a very unique property that used to be a sardine cannery. It is right on the Bay of Fundy. The rooms are beautiful. The sights and sounds of the Bay are right outside your window. The common area is well appointed: full kitchen, 2 dining tables, books, a deck, and a piano. Everything is sparkling clean. Oh, and did I mention there is a yoga room (Classes $10) and washer and dryer (wash/dry one load, $1.50).
Beautiful quirky hotel converted from a sardine factory. Great restaurant attached, ocean views from every room. Rooms were clean and a bit spare, common area was well equipped and inviting.
What a find in a small town on an even smaller lane above the wharf. The rooms in the separate cottages are amazing with charming covered porch to watch fishing boats. Staff s so kind. Well worth a long drive out of the way from many tourist spots
Our room, the Seagate, was neat and clean. We had our own balcony with a view over the beautiful harbor. The large common area has a full kitchen, books to borrow and puzzles with seating to look out over the harbor. A very relaxing place and a good way to wind down our vacation.
We had a very good time at the Inn, particularly the view to the bay and including breakfast.
Great facility! We'll be back some time in the future.
Thanks!

Beautiful view. Clean and comfortable room. Delicious breakfast.
I wanted to love this place, because location is 10/10. Loved the balcony and the view. Loved the restaurant next door. Honestly love the idea of the community kitchen. However, this stay was severely lacking in comfort. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, the soundproofing was non existent so I could hear loudly everything going on in the hall and community area, and I had no hot water for the shower, it was just warm enough to keep from freezing. With a few upgrades this could be an utterly amazing stay.
We had an amazing view right over the water from our room. A comfortable room. Restaurant attached to building serves decent food. No airconditioning! Thankfully we had our own fan to help circulate air in the room. The temperature does cool down nicely at night. No TV.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
it is a lovely location on Johnson Bay. However, the room itself was in poor condition. it seems to have been built with the cheapest materials that have not aged well. I stayed for 6 nights and no one offered me clean towels or coffee supplies.
