Sweet Brier Farm was built in 1801 and was an inn as early as the 1900's. The apartment, that is attached to the main house, boasts a living room with a working wood stove as one of the amenities. It has a complete kitchen with full-size stove, microwave and refrigerator, large sectional sofa, day bed and separate bedroom. We provide a coffee maker with coffee and tea, sweeteners and creamers as well as snacks.

The apartment does have a private entrance and a private bathroom with shower only. THE BATHROOM IS ON THE FIRST FLOOR WHEN ENTERING AND THE LIVING SPACE AND BEDROOM ARE ON THE SECOND FLOOR.

While there are house pets in the main house, they do not access the apartment. We also DO NOT allow any pets. There are many farm animals - chickens, goats, donkey, barn cats - and guests are welcome to visit them; they are always open to a snack of apples or carrots. If you like, fresh eggs are available for purchase for $4.00 per dozen.

Guests are welcome to wander about the property, have a fire in the fire pit, relax in the sun or enjoy our new hot tub. If using the hot tub, we do ask that you take a quick rinse before entering.
During your stay at this apartment building, you'll be close to Yankee Siege Trebuchet. Breakfast (surcharge) is available. Free WiFi and a kitchen are available in the apartment.

You definitely need to check this place out! :)
We just had an absolutely wonderful weekend stay at the apartment at Sweet Brier Farm! It was quiet, relaxing, comfortable, and well-equipped. We met the adorable farm animals, went in the hot tub, and had two AMAZING homemade breakfasts in the main house. Helen and Keith were so kind and made sure we promptly had everything we needed! We will definitely be staying here again!!!

Kind and accommodating hosts, beautiful spot!
We wished we had more time to spend on the property and hanging out with the animals! Helen and her partner were very friendly, social and accommodating. The space was cozy and bright, and the kiddo was happy to find toys (and snacks!). The stairs may be an issue for small children, but worked for us with chairs, etc. We would love to stay here again when we have more leisure time. Thanks!

Memorable experience in time at Sweet BrierFarm
Time spent with Helen and Keith on their farm was wonderful! My children and partner were right at home. We were comfortable and enjoyed getting to know the farm, the animals and the owners. Our accommodations were comfortable and had access to a full kitchen, so that we prepared our meals during our long two weeks stay. Helen was super helpful with finding local resources for the children and I to experience while staying on the farm. We will be returning next summer!

Wonderful Stay
We sincerely enjoyed staying at this farm. We had everything we needed in the apartment. The hosts were communicative and generous; they allowed us access to an additional bathroom if needed in the main house and we were able to do a load of laundry. The scenery is beautiful here, and being animal lovers, the resident farm animals were a treat to see too. We only wish we had booked a longer stay there!

Relaxing in the New Hampshire Countryside
Wonderful early 1800's farmhouse with a fully furnished second floor apartment in an attached wing. The owners are equally wonderful hosts and I understand they have had the property six years. They are working to restore the premises so, yes, it is a work in progress. It's also a working farm (and yes, fresh eggs). That said, we would return in a heartbeat. The air is clean, got the best night's sleep I've had in years, didn't use the TV for the entire time we were there, etc. Very, very nice. The location is great: very private, up on a ridge with open meadows and forest, a mile or so from the tiny town center; several miles from a town with the basic stores and a dozen miles or so in either direction from a thriving small New Hampshire "metropolis," namely Peterborough and Milford. And quiet. If you're looking for an unpretentious, thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable escape in Southern New Hampshire, this listing is definitely worth a look. PS The rate is very reasonable, too.

Very relaxing....
Stayed here for a couple nights while attending a celebration of life for a family member. Nice and relaxing. Family enjoyed the animals. Helen made sure to check in with us to see if we needed anything.... non-intrusively by text. Kitchen had most things needed INCLUDING coffee with fixings, pancake mix, snacks, etc. Clearly Helen (and her hubby) care about providing a comfortable experience. While the accommodations aren't like a newly built (or renovated) hotel, they were more than adequate and backed up with superior service. The only "complaint" one might have is the bathroom is near the entry while the remaining area is upstairs..... watch your step on that middle-of-the-night trip to the bathroom.

Slice of Heaven!
So grateful to have found this little slice of heaven. We spent six days here at Helen and Keith’s farm. It is super close to Peterborough and Milford which have great antique and consignment shops. A general store right down the street that has ah-mazing breakfast sandwiches and the best muffins.. ever. The apartment was perfect for us. My 14 year old absolutely fell in love with the couch… I know random but he said it was super comfy and now wants one just like it. The animals on the farm from the goats to Cedric the donkey, chickens, guinea fowl, kitties and 2 pups made for a true farm experience. Helen was an excellent host. Very accommodating. We felt welcome the minute we pulled in. Thank you Helen and Keith for a fabulous week!

Lovely hosts, beautiful and clean property. The only faint issue is that there was a cat odor in the house but NOT in the apartment where we stayed. Helen's eggs were fun and she and Keith were friendly and peaceful to be around.

Helen's 1801 Hildreth House
This house is located roughly a half hour west of Nashua, NH. It was a refreshing get away in the midst of my daughter's wedding and all the events that went with it. Helen, the owner was very accomodating to our needs. If there were other houses within 100 yards of this property they could not be seen through the trees. The house and accomondations were quite comfortable. My favorite part was coffee on the porch swing in the mornings. The kids got to feed the donkey carrots and while the donkey reminded me of someone I work with, I suddenly realized that it was not worth the stress of looking up their number in my contacts to ask how the hell they got there. The setting was very relaxing and if I ever need a place to stay in New Hampshire I will definitely consider staying here again.

Beautiful Farm Stay in Comfortable Accomodations
We had a wonderful quick stay here while skiing in the nearby mountains. We were the only family overnight, so we had free reign of the comfortable apartment and access to the main home. Helen was very helpful and communicative in the prior to arriving timeframe and during the stay. She had some great restaurant recommendations for the local area which were very helpful. All in all a great stay.
