Welcome to Knotting Hill, your charming coastal retreat near the breathtaking Mahone Bay, fondly known as “a treasure since 1754.” Here, you’ll experience the magic of one of Canada’s top 10 most beautiful towns. Nestled on nearly two acres of pure tranquility, our home is surrounded by wild roses, apple trees, and even a cherry tree. It’s the perfect escape from the daily grind, where deer make a peaceful appearance, and a bird watcher’s paradise, adding to the serenity of this natural oasis.

An 8-minute walk will take you to the stunning water’s edge, where you can soak in the breathtaking coastal views. Just a bit further, in another 15 minutes, you’ll find the calm, rustling waters of Westhaver’s Beach. Fancy an adventure? Lunenburg, home of the legendary Bluenose II, is just a short drive away, where you can even set sail on this iconic vessel!

Our accommodation offers something for everyone, whether it’s a romantic getaway, a family retreat, or a girls’ weekend away. The spacious King Bedroom Suite boasts a luxurious king-size bed and a double futon sofa bed, ideal for kids or extra guests. A second cozy Queen bedroom which boasts a unique stained glass lobster window and welcomes extra guests, accommodating up to 6 people between the 2 bedrooms. We’ve thought of every detail, including convenient cellphone chargers in each room.

Feel at home in our fully-equipped kitchen, stocked with all the cookware and spices you’ll need to create delicious meals. A dedicated coffee bar with complimentary coffee and tea awaits you, ensuring you can start your day just right. Gather around the dining table for 6, perfect for sharing meals and stories from your day’s adventures.

Outside, the fun continues. Fire up the BBQ and enjoy dining al fresco on our deck, surrounded by the beauty of the landscape. Sip your morning coffee or unwind with a glass of wine after a day of exploring. Want more? You’ll have access to two 2-person inflatable kayaks, perfect for a paddle on the bay, and a badminton set for some outdoor fun.

Please note that the bathroom is located on the main floor, while the bedrooms are upstairs, and therefore not a wheelchair accessible home. However, we are excited to announce that coming Spring 2025, we’ll be adding a convenient upstairs powder room (toilet and sink) to enhance your stay.
