As the name suggests, this is a nice updated property featuring large rooms and bathrooms. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great after a long day of walking around. This is walkable to places such as the plaza mayor, the main cathedral and the royal palace. The only reason for deducting a star is the noise. The walls were very, very thin, where I could audibly hear conversations in the next room, including one guest being “sick” for almost an hour one night. Additionally, being right next to Sol, there are a LOT of people. The rooms blocked out the outside noise very well, it was just the inside noise that was a nuisance.

Wonderful location
Loved the location! Easy walking distance to everything we wanted to see while in Madrid. It was extra fun seeing the street vendors and musicians just outside the main lobby door. Our room was spacious, clean, beautifully appointed and most important...super quiet!

We loved the hotel’s great location. Shops, restaurants, tapas eateries and places of interest are walkable. Souvenir shops all around. Didn’t have to walk far to grab a bite to eat. Metro stop is literally a few steps away but we didn’t have to ride to the places we visited. Neighborhood very much alive on weekends but we couldn’t hear any noise from our rooms. El Corte Ingles is right around the corner. Hotel and facilities are old but clean and in working condition. Staff super friendly and helpful. My family and I agreed that we couldn’t have picked a better place for our short 3-night stay in Madrid. Will definitely recommend to family and friends and stay here again. Loved it!!!

The location of the hotel is excellent, in a walking distance from many attractions and restaurants. Sol station is two minutes walk. The room is cozy but there was no ventilation in the bathroom. Overall it is a good value for money.

Great location, super friendly staff and right next to Prata Del Sol, walkable to major areas for first time visitors. Our room was in 5th floor and not facing the street so very quit at night even though the hotel is probably in the most crowded area. The room was a 4 person room but very small for 4 beds. There were only 3 of us but with 3 small luggages there was hardly room to walk around to the beds.
