Gorgeous traditional pub with cosy chalets
Gorgeous traditional pub with authentic touches. Excellent room, lovely stuff and very dog friendly. We stayed just for one night, on our way to channel crossing. Great rural location, but only a short distance from main routes. A real gem! We will be back soon.

This was a lovely base for us whilst visiting friends our only niggle was the service with food in the pub as we were forgotten at breakfast for so long we gave up waiting. They were very apologetic but was a sad end to an otherwise lovely stay.

We had a lovely experience here. The room accommodated our family of 5, the grounds were beautiful and there was an EV charging station on site. The restaurant was great. We loved the decor. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

The secluded countryside location was idyllic, contemporary room with extremely comfortable bed. A bench outside the lodge would have, in my opinion, added to the experience. The staff here were fabulous and a special thanks goes to the guy behind the bar who helped me back to my room, a real gentleman. I would recommend a stay here for anyone looking for old fashioned and quintessential english welcome and experience

Decent, unpretentious old school inn, serving a variety of victuals in a rabbit-warren of higgledy piggledy nooks and crannies within an interesting building. 'Rooms' are a selection of annexes to the main pub, and, if mine was anything to go by, well equipped, clean spacious and comfortable. Cheapest stay of this trip, but without question the best. Would definitely recommend and may well come back sometime in the future.
