This hotel badly needs renovations. Everything is 20-30yrs old. Staff were really amazing and very helpful. Breakfast buffet was decent but not exceptional. The worst thing was the noise level, from above and below you, even from showers of neighboring rooms. That’s why we barely slept even with our white noise devise was on its loudest volume. I guess, you get what you pay for

They booked us in a family room, with bunk beds. We had to request a move. The food is cold, we sent back a burger and fries that were stone cold, 20 minutes later it came back, just as cold. The breakfast was great, but I wouldn't eat at the bar or the pool side, food was terrible. Tick Tack restaurant up the street was great. The beach was great as well.

First night unbearable as sewage gas coming from washroom. Towels in washroom were dirty. No apology or compensation. Told they were fully booked. Changed our room next night. Bar under staffed. Had to wait at least 20 mins to order food and drinks. Terrible service and stay!! Took prepayment on check in for the two nights!

Given a terrible room on arrival looking out over a roof and an air conditioning unit that was noisy .I paid e1600 for one week half board .Expensive . Charging for the gym is shellfish that’s why it was empty.

3 Days at Sol Guadalmar Hotel
The Staff at the hotel were very friendly and accommodating. The check in was a little slow and the room that was assigned had a king bed as opposed to 2 double beds that was chosen at the time of the booking so we had to change rooms. The hotel is somewhat dated but I felt it was clean and safe. The hotel is located on the sea but doesn't have beach front lounges so we had to rent beach lounges from the restaurant located directly in front of the hotel. That was disappointing but we managed. The beach is not a sandy beach but is covered with small rocks which is a little uncomfortable on the feet when getting in and out of the sea but manageable. Regardless, we totally enjoyed the sea and spent every day in the sea. We didn't bother with the one outside pool and hot tube on the property. I noticed that the hotel also had a indoor pool but we didn't bother with it. Overall I was happy while at the resort but other then breakfast we ate at the two seaside restaurants close to the pool and then went into Malaga and dined. We only stayed at the hotel for 3 nights.
