We booked this spot because it was the best price we could find for a group of 6 non-related adults and our dogs. It ended up being nicer than expected. The rooms were spacious and the living room was very comfortable. It was walking distance to restaurants, bars, and shops. The bus to Eagle Lodge was very convenient. Parking was also very easy right in front. The only complaint about the unit itself is the oven. It is extremely old and did not function well. We had a hard time turning the oven on, an even harder time getting it to the right temperature, and, worst of all, a hard time turning it off. If you're intending to do a lot of cooking this might not be the unit for you.
We did have an issue with the property management company. There was a storm the day before we were supposed to arrive and another in the forecast the day we were supposed to leave. I messaged them a few days before our trip and was told that we could get a refund if the roads were closed. The roads did reopen the day we were to depart for Mammoth, but with lots of warnings to avoid travel to the area. I called and was told, since the roads are open, we would not get a refund if we cancelled. We decided to go anyways but we actually had to leave the night before our reservation ended because we were worried about getting stuck. It would be nice if the property management company was more attuned to warnings from CalTrans and the Sheriff's department and offered a refund in case of travel warnings, not just road closures. Especially if there could be a storm after someone arrives that leaves them stranded in Mammoth Lakes.
