Tired hotel needs a refurb.
Last stayed at this hotel 20 odd years ago and it was amazing. Sadly, it's a little tired and it looks like it's not been touched in 20 years in the room I stayed in. My room had ripped wall paper in several areas and looked very tired. Whilst I appreciate requests are not guaranteed I asked for a room away from the lift and quiet. I got a room right by the lift, the stairs exit, overlooking the bus stop on Piccadilly and by an air vent! Air con in the room didn't work so room was stuffy. The service at the hotel was luck lust and their was a whiff of arrogance about the check in staff. When I had my breakfast I asked for no eggs and comments were made about why would anyone not like eggs. Well, I don't! There is a multitude of hotels in the city and this one needs to try a lot, lot harder.

This was the most beautiful hotel I‘ve ever stayed in! I felt very, very comfortable in it. It‘s a short walk from the train station and in such a cool area. Felt very safe for two young women.

Stay away if you wish to sleep.
The Hotel was hosting a party on the Saturday night and the noise pollution was so bad that my wife and I could not sleep until it had finished. I went down to the reception at 12:00am to complain about the noise and was told it would finish at no later than 12:30. the noise then continued until almost 12:45. AT no point when we checked in or booked the stay did anyone warn us that this party was planned to take place and that we should expect some disruption. If I hadn't of had a drink that evening I would have packed up and checked out and driving home at at midnight because of the inconvenience. I shouldn't have to pay that amount of money to stay at a hotel such as this and leave the next morning less refreshed than when i arrived. I am incredibly disappointed with the manner in which the hotel have conducted themselves.

Room was pretty standard air con was broken so they substituted with a fan. I paid £180 for 1 night's stay honestly felt it was expensive for what i got poor value. Also an event/party was on in the basement couldn't sleep with the loud music. Overall disappointed.

Pros - Less than 5 minute walk from Piccadilly train station, along a well lit busy road. I felt comfortable walking there alone at 23.30 on a Tuesday night Bed was comfy. The room had everything I needed. Con - It feels like an old hotel that’s been jazzed up with a few funky items of furniture or pictures. I didn’t appreciate the chocolate, crisps and fizzy drinks in the room right next to the bed. Felt like a selling technique, a bit like when a supermarket used to have chocolate next to all the tills.

altogether a great experience! the room was clean and just stunning, so many little details that just made the experience so worth it. the staff are friendly and the hotel is safe and locked up at night with no access to anyone who isn’t a resident.

Really lovely staff. Excellent location close to Piccadilly gardens, the train station and shopping areas. Discounted parking at Citi Park which is within a two minute walk of the hotel, details are on the hotel's website. Our room was very well appointed and included armchairs and a marshall speaker but had suffered some damp (dehumidifier in room) but wasn't an issue whilst we were there. The lift was out of action during our stay which could be an issue for some people. Breakfast was one of the best I've had in a hotel but it is cooked to order so if you are in a rush it's worth letting them know. I would definitely stay again.
