Location was perfect and that's the main reason we stay when in the area. Hotel could use updating. Bed extremely comfortable, but the linens smelled a tad musty. Most cable channels didn't work. Zero place to unpack anything except a tiny closet. Not even a drawer in the nightstand and no shelf in the bathroom. Still was good enough for a short stay and very convenient location. Staff was plesant and helpful. Have stayed before and will again. Just wish it had a bit more

The hotel has a distinct smell of urine. Like a public restroom or a home with several cats. The room had nowhere to put luggage except the floor. There were no luggage stands. There were also no dresser or bureau. There were in fact no draws of any kind in the room. the room did not have a closet. just a small rack that clothing hung from it would hit the bottom of the box area. The pillows were horrible. The bed had 5 but they were so cheap that when you put your head on them, the filling would separate, and your head would sink to the mattress with no support. This was with all 5 pillows stacked. The toiled seat was also cheap and bendable. when sitting on the toilet, the seed would bend and move to the side, and you would end up sitting directly on the toilet bowl. This was also true in the public restrooms. The room had two chairs that were pre-renovation. Both were dated, damaged and uncomfortable.

The hotel is very dark in the evening. Brighter light bulbs needed. Panels have been removed by night stands not replaced. Refrigerator was very noisy? One day no hot water.

The lobby was clean and bright with welcoming staff. The older hotel has been refurbished and the rooms are updated and nicely appointed with microwave, refrigerator that actually kept things cold, hair dryer and iron/ironing board.

Appearances are deceiving
I chose this hotel because the price was a little lower than most other options and the ratings were good. When I approached it, I was a bit skeptical. Clearly an older hotel that has been upgraded, it is not a modern cookie cutter hotel; it is built into the side of a hill and has a small lobby, plus you leave the lobby and go outside to get to some of the rooms. BUT, the rooms and the bathrooms in particular are much better than you might expect given all that. The room was clean and pleasant. The shower was new, had plenty of water pressure and was easy to get to the right temperature. All the plumbing fixtures worked perfectly. The beds and pillows were comfortable to sleep on, and the furnishings in the rooms were new and in good condition. Also the TV had a very big screen and great picture. All in all, this was a pleasant place to stay.

Very clean, quiet for such a busy location. Checkin staff were not friendly, just checked us in without any welcoming conversation and she was not busy. Not even a hello. Breakfast was good but again, no staff, no one to say good morning or thank you for staying with us. They really need to work on their customer service skills.
