Horrible experience. I arrived around 2pm to check in. A worker was on the phone before I was acknowledged after a few minutes. Initially they couldn’t find my reservation but then did after I said it was made on Expedia. I was told it was canceled. I explained I didn’t cancel it and still showed booked and paid on my Expedia account. He state “that doesn’t matter” it is canceled but wouldn’t say by who. I asked for the Manager and he handed my the cell phone. The manager stated she couldn’t not find my reservation anywhere (even though the front desk agent did). She said she could not help me since I made it via Expedia. Neither of them apologized for inconvenience or offered me any assistance.The front desk agent handed me the cancellation letter - it showed canceled by “unknown” 3 months prior to my arrival. I am told the hotel must approve my refund due to their policy. But policy was I had 48 hours to cancel, if someone canceled it months prior then why did I not get my money back? I am so confused and disappointed, I travel often and never experienced this before. I will continue to fight to get my money back but I will never use them again. No one can tell me why I am not getting a refund if it was canceled months before the cancellation date.
The registration and check in were easy, there’s a great meeting area where the the breakfast is served, the hall and rooms are a bit dark and could use a little updating. Staff was very nice. Parking was safe.
The only issue I had was the whole place felt humid. When I spoke to one of the staff, she apologized and said that their cooling system just cannot keep up with the usage. It was cool, just a little clammy.
Excellent room. Comfortable beds and clean carpet and furnishings. Staff very accommodating and friendly. Provided information re good local restaurants and activities. Have added to my favorites.
