The property has an excellent restaurant. The dinner we had was very good and the free breakfast was good. The property has a nice pool and outside bar and is located in a nice area. There are a couple small bars within a short walking distance. The staff is friendly. This is an older property and paper thin walls. The people in the room next to us were there to party and we had to listen to them during most of our stay. I understand it is the Keys and people come to have a good time...just wish we did not have to hear it. The floors were so dirty that when when got in the shower, our feet turned the shower floor black. Overall, not a bad place to stay, just set your expectations accordingly.

We had a family emergency shortly after checking in and had to go back home. The front office lady was so nice and understanding. She told me to just go and if they need anything that they would contact us. Then we received an email from Expedia stating that the resort had contacted them to let them know we were receiving a refund for the remaining days. That was so thoughtful and a pleasant surprise. We will visit again for sure. Thank you for caring about people and not just money.

This property reads more of a Motel than a Resort. The rooms or "suites" are a front living, dining, kitchenette space. Bathrooms are adequate. Towels could all use replacing. The pool area and tiki hut are nice. Breakfast at the onsite restaurant was one of the highlights. I would rate this as a 3star average stay with great location to Marathon and a 6-8 minute drive to a public (pay2park) beach.

The property is in a secluded area just off the Overseas Hwy. It had a remodeled lobby and pool area which was nice. The morning breakfast was limited and often out of basic items. The property was noisy during the day because it is on a working marina. Quiet at night. The room was nice with living room and bedroom. Convenient to many Marathon attractions and restaurants. Parking was limited and fortunately we were there when it was not too busy so we did find a spot to park each night. It has lots of amenities like tennis, sand volley ball, bikes, ping pong which we did not use.

Amenities are not what they advertise. Everything we asked for; bikes- not available, Towels - not available, Cooler- not available. They charge a resort fee per day for amenities that are not available. Be sure you are clear what you are paying for before you give them a credit card. They will charge you for nothing.

Although I viewed every picture and read all of the reviews on Expedia, we were extremely disappointed in the property. When we drove in, the property was unrecognizable. It was extremely run down. We found out that the first 2 floors have people living there. There was actually someone using a drill during the night. Our room was very outdated as was the whole property. Stucco walls and the couches had stains on them. Our view was of a dirt field under construction. If we were not traveling with another couple, we would have checked out. Also, there is a complimentary breakfast but the waffle irons looked as if they have never been cleaned. Beyond disappointed.

The staff was great, nice pool . Your Definitely catfished on the rooms … pretty sure most units are long term rentals. All in all for the price before resort fees id felt I got exactly what I paid for . After fees I could have stayed at a 4-5 star resort down the road .

So disappointed...

After coming here for a few years, I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Skip Jack. Some of the front desk new faces were not very customer service oriented. Restaurant food was overall awful! It's really a shame, considering this place is located in such convenient location. I doubt we will ever come back here again...

The food is great and at the bar Carmen, Able, and Jason who took our dinner order inside on Friday night were the best ever. The construction was Mon-Friday 9am-4pm was terrible noisy and you could feel the vibration under your feet!!!@Very Bad!!!
