I was initially put in a room with no black out blind, no working lamps and no adjustible aircon. The decorative pillows on the bed were mouldy. The walls all had dirty marks and splatters. The cold water taps on the first floor all groan loudly when used and you can hear all the neighbour rooms using theirs. You can request milk from the front desk, but there is no cafe or restaurant on the property that is open.
The bed was comfortable, the sheets were clean. After 3 nights of not sleeping properly due to intense night lights outside, I requested a different room - staff are all super nice and helpful and I was moved to a new room. The bed was really hard, the shower and walls next to the window were covered in mould. There was no toilet paper holder. The main room lights flickered constantly and the bed lamp (one didn't work at all) flickered too. This place needs some serious work and attention done to it - I feel sick and congested after staying there for 6 nights. Melbourne has not recovered well from all it's covid lockdowns.
