We had a terrific stay. We had some difficultly checking in because of an error by Hotels.com but Lauren got it sorted out for us. Great staff. Nice rooms.

Needs to be fixed up.

The front desk staff were very good and our room was upgraded. The hotel is old and shabby. Our A/C wasn’t working properly, I asked to have them look at it but they didn’t come. The location is very close to Beale Street so if you don’t like noise, don’t stay there.

The front desk staff was 10/10! Usually not my 1st choice when in come to Memphis but the staff had me wanting to come back!

the staff was nice and the hotel seemed clean. my only complaint is that the room was very very hot and made the room feel very stuffy. we turned the air to 68° when we first checked in, we left for about 5 hours and when we came back the room was still at 73° and stayed that way the whole time.

Walking distance to Beale Street and the Peabody ducks. Amazing staff who went above and beyond every day. Bed comfy and warm. Pillows could have been a little firmer. Nice breakfast every day. Would have given five stars if not for small fire in hotel laundry area that desk clerk told us was a false alarm. All in all, I would stay there again.

There are better places to stay

The ease of getting into the hotel is nice. At first glance I thought it needed a little updating and some good deep cleaning. Once we got into the room it got worse. The carpet is gross. Bring flip flops. The shade to the one window in the room is broken and you cannot lift it to let light in. The map shades are all stained and broken. The floor in the bathroom was just disgusting. I would not walk barefoot on it. It was a handicap accessible bathroom I assume because there was no separation between shower and the rest of it and the entire floor was soaked after a shower. It just needs a good deep clean and some updating. For the price we paid we could’ve stayed at a nicer hotel and not been afraid to touch anything because it didn’t look clean. All of the employees we encountered were very nice, helpful and friendly. We told them about the room just because we wanted to make sure we weren’t held accountable for the broken window and lamp shades. They stated they knew about it. I would. It stay here again. Find somewhere else where you get what you pay for. You can stay at the Peabody for the price of the Hampton Inn.
