Old house with unaddressed problems
My two sisters and I stayed for three nights. Much less nice property than the pictures suggested. No TV in living room which the listing said it had. The first problem was when we got home from dinner the first night late, there was no hot water. We called the next morning and ended up fixing it ourselves when they gave us the door code to get into the basement where the water heater is. Front door frame rotting so it was hard to close the door and we had to push a screw back into the rotted wood. An upstairs bedroom had door handles that would come off in your hand. Someone could get locked in that room if it was closed when that happened. The one upstairs bathroom with the clawfoot tub had half of the shower curtain it needed and the ridiculous flat bottomed sink splashed water on you unless you kept the water flow pretty low. The backyard looks so spacious in the photos but everything is crammed together. Lastly, the downstairs shower turned on by itself 15 minutes before we needed to check out and it would not turn off. The company was honestly not that helpful. Could not tell with any of these concerns when their handyman would get there. Even approximately. Would never stay there again. We wanted to watch a movie together on the last night site so ended up using my iPad.
