Casa Miravalle is in a lovely location right across the street from a pretty and well-used park. Our place was quite spacious and well-equipped, though dark. The doormen are lovely! The hotel is generally not as nice as the photos, our terrace has a pigeon problem and needed a good scrubbing. But the rooms were very clean and overall the building has good bones. I was very disappointed that the rooftop was unusable due to construction next door. It’s quite a big project and seems be moving slowly. The noise is not bad at all, in fact I found the place very quiet for a big city, but seeing as this was a getaway from a cold wet winter I would have loved to be able to spend some time in a chaise in the sun. We sat up there a bit on Sunday when no one was working and it was very pleasant.
We were there for a week and I thought they should have given clean towels and maybe some cleaning at least once but no one entered our suite in that entire time. We were able to use google translate to ask for garbage bags and toilet paper so we didn’t suffer.
This is a ramble, but overall I would stay again, aware of the limitations, and I would request a room facing the park. And frankly if it was perfect, with no construction, fresh paint and fixtures, and room service daily…I wouldn’t be able to afford that wonderful location.
