Mexico City has some old charming buildings, The Hampton Inn is just old. The restaurants are poor in terms of food and service. I would not stay there again.

Perfect place two blocks from El Zócalo. The hotel is a well kept property that had a fresh smell upon arrival not only at the lobby but also the room. Super comfortable bed and spotless bathroom. Kept the rating at 4 based on the lack of a soap dish in the shower. There was no towel rack for the hand towels and the morning coffee at breakfast was cold.The terrace on the 5th floor is nothing like they present in pictures, all the fancy patio furniture is gone and it had stacks of chairs. We had to pull two chairs to sit and enjoy the view. In all it's a good place based on proximity to the historic center and it's restaurant Garabatos.

Had an excellent stay. Top tier staff service. I’d I had to say something negative it would be that the bathroom decor was peeling apart and that the halls to get to the room smelled like humity. Bisedes that, everything else was just fine.

Friendly staff, room was clean and well appointed. I arrived and went directly to sleep. Woke up after a nap to discover that my window was not a real window but some sort of light panel. This offset my sleeping pattern greatly but it was just two days. If I had noticed at first, I would have asked for something else.

The food for the breakfast buffet was terrible!! The room was too dark. The one postive comment is that the concierge, Edgar, was EXCELLENT. He provided us with a lot of helpful information.
