The room was clean and the bed was good. I didn't realize it had exterior doors so we could hear the people sitting out front talking and laughing until 2:00 in the morning. Not the hotels fault but something to consider for next time.

Rooms were very clean and housekeeping kept them freshened up throughout my stay. Housekeeping was considerate in coming to clean rooms later in morning. Front desk very helpful with local recommendations. Breakfast was good. Eggs and sausage were lacking in quality though. Bland flavor otherwise good selection for breakfast. Clean dining room also. Only drawback is the loud noise of slamming exterior doors. Ample parking and all staff on property helpful and friendly. Pool area nice and clean but not heated.

Average hotel, ok for an layover, one night max.
During our recent stay at the Best Western Gateway to the Keys in 2024, we couldn't help but notice a decline in the hotel's overall condition compared to our visit in 2019. Back then, the property was well-kept and bustling with activity, but our latest experience left us feeling disappointed. While the room was clean, it unfortunately appeared worn and outdated. The lack of a view, as we faced the parking lot, added to the feeling of being in a less appealing space. The breakfast offerings were limited, which was a letdown compared to what we remembered. The pool area, which could have been a highlight, looked unkempt, and we were surprised to find no pool towels available. Overall, while we appreciated that the hotel provided a place to rest during our travels, the current state of the property makes it hard to recommend. Based on this experience, we would likely look for alternative accommodations on our next visit to the Keys.
