Beautiful and close to the cruise pier
We had a double queen on the top floor with a view of the water. We stayed one night before boarding a cruise ship. The hotel location was just minutes away from the Royal Caribbean pier.

Their explanation of charges was less than impressive. Three different people, including a manager explained the "Daily Destination Fee" that costs $35. The Wi-Fi is free or not? Who knows. Does the $35 only include what they call "Daily Enhanced Hi-Speed Internet Access" or do you get free slower speed without paying the additional $35. The manager seemed to say that the $35 is mandatory. Two people said they charge your card $100 over and beyond the "price of the room" and then if you didn't do anything "extra," they reimburse $64.50. Which means this "Daily Destination Fee" is whether you use it or not ... and is actually $35.50 ... and why don't they just say that??? Sounds like bait & switch ... or nickle & diming. Just add the price to the room and be up front about it. At this point, after a few days until the credit card actually reconciles all charges and credits, we don't even know what we actually paid for the room. That's confusing ... and three people explained it, actually seeming to be unsure themselves.

Overall my stay was very good. The room was modern, spacious and clean. Service was good as well, although my check in expercience was not good at all. The hotel is centrally located, which makes it a short ride to midtown, downtown and south beach
