The hotel gave conflicting information regarding the early check in fee and the front desk attendant seemed annoyed with me and skeptical towards me. They didn’t explain that the buffet was not complimentary until I tried to fix a plate. And the hotel was under construction. Otherwise it was a nice property.

They are under construction, charged $90 for a resort fee (it’s not a resort), the fire alarms kept going off. They didn’t put a car on my room so I way paying to get in/out every time. The customer service is lacking- it’s not there. - I only chose the hotel because I was evacuating from the hurricane where my home took a direct hit. I’ll never stay at another terrible Sonesta. Updating in progress but caution
Updated room however currently under construction which led to: construction noise directly above my room at 8am and several incidental fire alarms set off. Some mold above the window made me keep the blinds closed or I could smell the slight musk smell. The updated room and bathroom where however clean and nice. Shower is a little tight, especially would be tight for those taller and/or larger build folks but was fine for me.

It was beautiful, they have been remodeling and are still in the process but still looked awesome. I didnt realize it was a pet friendly hotel, and due to the hurricane, MANY dogs were there. It was ok, we just didnt expect that many, cant wait to go back though when its completely done.

No hot water. No restaurant or bar open at 10p arrival. Great staff, tho. Allen was great as were his fellow front desk agents. Its under construction band will probably be nicer once that has been completed. I don’t do cold showers for this sort of money. In fact, I don’t do them at all regardless of how trendy they may be. I needed a hot shower after a very stressful day!!
