The rooms were small, I just needed to lay my head down. Very clean, so if that’s important to you that’s a plus. The staff was extremely nice. The booking company only reserved 1 room of the two I requested. I paid for the only remaining room on site out of pocket. But the booking company charged me for a room that didn’t get booked. So I paid for 3 small rooms, while there was only 2 rooms to rent. Also, the fresh fruit on the breakfast bar was not fresh. The bananas were black and should have been used to make banana bread…

Bugs in shower area, shower water would not turn off, beds were full not queen and hard. Desk chair looked like it came out of the trash. Moved us to a different room, water maybe got to room temp, shower water did not fully shut off-it trickled, full size beds, not queen and hard. When in first room, heard construction above us. The bottom of the shower/ tub was black. They did not offer to give a discount or anything else.

The place has seen better days. Everything is a bit past its prime. Old carpets, stains on the bathroom wall, poorly done paint jobs. Not terrible, but not great either. Room service policies are questionable as well: changing sheets every third day (or less) is fine, but that should not mean that trashcans are not emptied or consumables not being replaced. One shouldn't have to see the front desk every day to beg for yet another tiny bottle of shampoo and coffee. The room had some nice touches, like a comfortable reading chair, but the shade of the reading light was all crooked, giving a rather cartoonish impression. Breakfast was sugar-forward. Nothing to write home about. Judging by the collection of chairs and dumpster in the parking lot, the building undergoes some renovations, which is a god thing. Location, on the other hand is excellent (right off the university campus) and proximity to public transportation extremely convenient.

This property was a little pricy for the amenities. It is located fairly well on campus however. Beds were comfy but shower and bathroom outdated. Faucet dripped. The staff and Tia at the front desk were great!

I am very pleased with this hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel does not have lots of extra amenities that I neither want nor need. The breakfast is good and much appreciated. I am happy to have found it, and will continue to stay there when I’m in Minneapolis.
