Cool historic downtown hotel. Parking is rough, which is to be expected in a downtown hotel - the valets were hopping though (we found a street spot). Check-in was surprisingly unwelcoming. Room-service food options are varied, but the result was sub-par. I'd suggest dining in person or find an alternative option. Bed was comfortable. Shower was fantastic. Clean.

Poor Food and Drink Experience
I was charged $14.03 for incidentals but when I checked in I noticed a bottle was missing from the minifridge. I didn't think of anything about it until I got a charge after checking out. I think I was charged for a bottle of alcohol that I didn't drink and that was not rightfully charged to the prior guest. Also, I ordered room service. It was over two hours late! At least they were honest that they forgot about my order, so I gave 2 stars for service rather than 1. Instead of comping the meal they offered me a piece of cheese cake and a glass of bland wine (I am not even a wine drinker).

I don’t really leave reviews but the service at this hotel was so amazing, it won my loyalty. Every staff member I met was so incredibly kind and warm. Not in a fake way, but in a sincere way that shows they love their jobs. We stayed there to attend a concert at the Xcel and it was perfect . My 14-year-old daughter loved it too, we will never stay anywhere else in St. Paul again.

The best service we could have received
We were treated exceptionally well. We were in for a show at Xcel Energy Center and stayed here due to the location and price. Highly recommend the valet service. The room was nice and gave an old world charm. Will definitely return.
