We were excited for our stay, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up toexpectations. Upon arrival, we had to reach out to the host to havethe driveway plowed. The couple he sent to plow it even told us whereto buy a shovel because, after searching, we couldn’t find one easily.We also had to reach out for the entry code, as no welcome email wassent—though the host did apologize for this.Inside, the house lacked essential supplies like toilet paper, papertowels, and trash bags. Some amenities were in poor condition—chippedplates, broken fridge drawers, and a fireplace missing stones. One ofthe beds even had a screw sticking out, which wasn’t exactly the cozytouch we were hoping for. The hot tub? Apparently, it required atwo-week notice, which was never mentioned before booking. We reached out one week prior and was told by the host that he would try to have it ready for us, however it was completely frozen when we got there. After settling in, we ran into more issues—the grill didn’t work, babygates were missing, and several small details were overlooked. When wereached out to the host after our stay, he visited the property anddismissed most of our concerns, claiming to have "found" missing itemsafter multiple adults had already searched thoroughly.This rental could be great with better upkeep and communication, butas it stands, it was more of an obstacle course than a relaxinggetaway. Hopefully, future guests have a smoother experience!
