Newly renovated farmhouse with pool - views of the sea and mountains

The beautifully renovated farmhouse overlooks the hills towards the ancient town of Atri and the sea. If you are looking for a very spacious and well appointed house to relax and explore the real Abruzzo then this is the place for you.

The upstairs accommodation comprises 4 large bedrooms (3 ensuite) and a family bathroom. Downstairs there are 2 more separate bedrooms (no need to walk through one to get to the other), a large bathroom with huge bath and very spacious shower.

On the ground floor there is also a utility with washing machine, drinks fridge and commercial quality sink; a cosy sitting room with woodburner and large TV; and a spacious open-plan kitchen-diner (10 metres or 32 feet long) with American style fridge, dishwasher and long dining table.

Outside there are a choice of 4 terraces (large and small) for you to find a spot in the sun (or shade) to relax. The two larger terraces are securely fenced to provide peace of mind to those playing outside with children. The pool is accessed via a gate just next to the main terrace. Obviously children must be supervised at all times. Although the main terraces are gated (as is the pool) the land around the house is not fenced in and so there is access to our neighbours land, the road and the nearby Calanchi (steep hills). Please be cautious of venturing across the farmland. There is a gentle farm track that can be followed for an interesting walk, but climbing on the calanchi could be dangerous.

The closest beach is half an hour away at Pineto. Pineto is (in our opinion!) the nicest stretch of coastline in Abruzzo, as the road is diverted away from the beach and there is a grove of pine trees alongside a pedestrianised walkway following the coast.

Mountain walking is within easy reach, approximately one hour away at the ski resort, Prati di Tivo, or the breath taking 'little Tibet' - Campo Imperatore. Alternatively you can head out of the front door and explore the local area by following one of the dirt tracks near the house. In the winter months you can downhill ski at Roccarasa and Prati di Tivo and indulge in cross country skiing at Campo Imperatore.

There are 3 golf courses within an hours drive of the house - The Adriatico Golf Club, Miglianico Golf and Colonnella Golf club. There are many local, authentic Abruzzese restaurants in the region where you can practice your Italian and eat like a king.

Although the house itself has been completely renovated there are some un-renovated farm buildings near to the house (as seen in the photographs). The current price per night reflects the unfinished nature of the local environment.

Cooles Haus für mehrere
Wir waren zwei Wochen im Sommer 2019 mit sechs Erwachsenen und sieben Kindern bis Jugendlichen. Genug Platz für alle, super Küche und eine traumhafte Terrasse. Nicht weit zum Meer und zu den Bergen. Und die Aussicht ist phantastisch. Sehr nette Vermieter.
