Shamarra from the buffet dining area was wonderful. The hotel check in process was horrible, the attendant didn't share any information but the gossip about another guest that was there for weeks and disruptive. The rooms took long to be prepared. There was stains on the sheets, roaches, plaster on the walls, no working telephone, broken liquor dispenser and we had prop our phone chargers as they wouldn't stay inside the wall outlets. There was only two outlets in the room and we also had to share or unplug appliances to charge our phones. The pools closed so early that you had to rush back from excursions in order to enjoy the pool resort and activities. I stayed at this location and other locations but never received this poor service. I made report to the manager and she didn't address all issues and she stated she would email us re a complimentary massage and she never die. The manager name was Aisha, not sure of the spelling as she didnt provide a business card.

We travel a lot and enjoy spending time at all-inclusive resorts. This last visit to your resort, by far, was the best customer experience yet. Jheanille, your front desk clerk, was amazing and made our entire stay a true pleasure. I would definitely suggest having Jheanille train your other staff members in how to achieve complete customer satisfaction. Saying she was quite Impressive is an understatement. The resort was exceptionally clean, beach was amazing, the food was fantastic and all your staff members are extremely kind and helpful. We will definitely return soon. Overall, one of the best resort experiences to date. Well done.

My husband and I got married at the Riu as had dreamed of returning to show our children. We had multiple issues with trying to get dinner reservations We were told there were IT app issues and nothing could be done As a result we had to eat the Buffett nearly every night. Feel as if we did not get our monies worth. Management offered to compensate us by offering our small family a private beach dinner for our lastnight. Manager never called and never arranged. We went to the front desk and were told they could do it for $100. No Thankyou. I was not willing to pay for something that was promised to us as a compensation solution. As a result of these difficulties and managements false promises we will not return. The beach and the room were terrific. Jamaica is wonderful. Beyond that the Riu was dissapointing.

The beach was beautiful! The power kept going off multiple times during our stay which can lead to fires, very unsafe. The lobby and pool bathrooms were very dirty and disgusting. The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. There were limited number of elevators that worked. The kitchen staff didn’t wear gloves when working with food.

Hotel Riu Ocho Rios: A nightmare vacation. Forget the all-inclusive hype. Our family and friends were appalled by the subpar food, terrible service, and lackluster amenities. This RIU trip was a total disaster and waste of money. We’ll never stay at a RIU again.

With the extreme heat there should have been some fans installed at numerous points. The front desk reps were extremely slow. I have never ever had a hotel check in process be so slow and lengthy. Most importantly, the hotel staff need to be trained on diversity as it pertains to their guests. They cannot use their local mindset on the job especially when they are interacting with people from different cultures.
