I liked the location of this hotel because I could walk to the beach, but I didn't have any hot water in my room. I tried different times of the day, but I couldn't get a warm shower. I spoke to someone at the front desk the next morning because I still had one more night, and she said I couldn't switch rooms. When I checked out they said they would contact the manager, but I never heard back. I also messaged the property through Expedia, but I never heard back. I wouldn't stay at this property again based on the lack of response. I would choose a nearby motel.

So many excuses from this staff. Our room floodedand we were moved to another room. The rooms were dirty and had spiders. No shampoo or conditioner and the iron was broken and they wouldn't replace. Joke of a hotel.

Room was acceptably clean. AC was very noisy with obnoxious fan noise. TV was non functional. Parking was mildly inconvenient. Local beach access with a 15 min walk due to beach entry closure. Safe and quiet area. Room was motel 6 quality with below average cleanliness and upkeep. I would have been disappointed if I paid $100, but this overnight was $250. Skip this one.

Do NOT stay here!

This was THE worst hotel stay we’ve ever had. We were locked out of our room for hours. They gave us 5 different keys. Finally they came after not believing us that the keys wouldn't work. Turns out the battery for the key fobs on the door was dead. They said they'd re key it and it would take a few hours (a few hours turned into half a day) so we had no access to our room. Well, then the next day the air conditioner doesnt work. They finally switched us rooms. The hair dryer doesnt work and the shower is clogged. The manager wasnt in at 8:30 in the morning even though we were told he comes in at 7. When we asked for a refund he said he would give us a discount next time we came to town. This is unacceptable!

The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. Continental breakfast was very good - comparable to a Hamptons Inn. Location was ideal for walking to the see the sunset at the beach. Would definitely consider coming back.

Batteries for the key card reader on our door had to be replaced at check in with us standing outside for 20 minutes waiting. Then the key cards had to be reprogrammed multiple times even though I kept them separated from anything that could deactivate them. Door had such a large gap between it and the frame that light from outside shown through. It was large enough of a gap for bugs to easily get into the room. Our shower was not very clean and towel was either stained or they folded up a dirty towel to be used again. Won’t stay again.

We stayed in four different Best Westerns in Central California during this trip. This Best West Western did not meet our expectations. It was loud, not clean, and the staff was not as accommodating as the other BW hotels. Due to seeing all that we wanted to see in Monterey and Carmel, we decided to checkout after our first night. We reserved and paid in advance for two rooms, however, the Manager would not work with us on a refund for the second night even though we checked out at 8:00 a.m. which was before the actual checkout time a day before we had planned to checkout.
