It was easy to be in and out. Mostly clean, some rust and the only thing I really didn't like is that we didn't have a dead bolt on our door. Breakfast was good and the kids liked it.

Clean, basic. Close to beach
Basic hotel accommodations. Nothing fancy but very clean. Unfortunately our heat/cool unit wasn’t working so it got really stuffy and warm in the room. I’d have opened the windows for a breeze but the freeway noise was right beside us. Quick walk to a beautiful beach and great restaurant across the street.

This is an average hotel at a reasonable price. It was clean and the staff were friendly. The location to the beach, Monterey, and surrounding areas is great. My only complaint is that the rooms were very cold and unwelcoming. The lighting felt like being in a hospital. It was unfortunate that being in the room felt so harsh compared to the beauty of the area.

Find another place to stay!
Our room did not have any towels, toilet paper or tissue stocked in room. THe lighting was TERRIBLE. It had "mood" lighting only---even in the bathroom. No way to put on makeup unless you stepped outside. Our room was near the ice machine that was incredibly loud. They had posted Quiet hours 10p-8am but NOT enforced. There were a bunch of teens having an ice fight utilizing the ice machine until 1am. I called and nothing was done. We went for a romantic weekend in Monterey. We did not sleep either night. If the room was only $100 or less per night it would be worth the money. However, we paid nearly $500 for a 2 night stay--not worth it!!!!

Only thing really going for it is the location which is important if your goal is to easily access the beach. Badly in need of further maintenance in some areas and needs some amenities like a Jacuzzi, fitness center, etc Pros: * Location is within walking distance to the beach and a short drive to other local attractions * Breakfast provided and decent coffee * Bed and pillows reasonably comfortable Cons: * Hotel staff were not very pleasant * No amenities * We had ants in our bathroom area * Air conditioning unit in our room sounded like it would shake itself off the wall making sleep difficult * While the room had recently been renovated and was pretty nice, the bathroom was a disaster. The bathroom door was broken, shower was a mess with broken or shoddy repairs and the bathroom was so small it was uncomfortable

Property was good but not well maintained. Disappointed that this hotel does not even give water. Had to ask for water on arrival. Second day when I asked I was told that they only provide water for lst day. I booked 2 rooms but only 1 was ready. I had to wait for about 1 hour before the 2nd room was ready.
