The hotel staff was very good and polite. I was concerned the first day we got there because the staff was on strike. The manager mentioned that there was limited cleaning staff and that our room needed time because of the limited staff. After a few hours they gave us the key. Besides that the hotel is confidently close to transportation and shops.

Staff strike going on during our stay, hours long check in lines for people with kids. Every checkin took 15-20 mins on average, we were exhausted just standing in the line and forgot about visiting the city, so day 1 was a wash. Regardless of the reasons for the strike, this shouldn’t be made the customers problem that are paying full price for the stay. Cherry on top was all the homeless and addicts around the hotel, felt unsafe going out after dark. Won’t be visiting this hotel again, probably made the mistake of staying downtown in the first place.

When we arrived we had to wait over an hour to check in and we found out that the hotel staff were on strike. We were told that we would not be receiving breakfast even though we had paid for it. We were also told that we would receive a $48.00 credit per room per day. Our rooms were clean but it wasnt made up for the first day. We had to ask for extra towels. When we called down no one would answer. On day 2, the strike ended but no one told us that breakfast would now be available to us. It was only when i asked for towels again that a staff member mentioned breakfast would be served on Day 3 and was served that morning. We had breakfast the last day. When i mentioned this to the staff upon checkout, the manager was called and told us there was nothing they could do. Overall the service was awful and i would not recommend this hotel.

We liked the walk ability. The location perfect for our needs. No fault of their own. There was no breakfast either day, as the staff went on strike. But they did compensate money for that.

This is a great hotel and I will definitely stay here again! My only negative is that I wasn't a big fan of the breakfast. I wish there were more fruit options (strawberries, bananas or blueberries would've been nice. I don’t think of pineapple and melon as breakfast fruit) and healthier breakfast options otherwise. I would've liked oatmeal or overnight oats or maybe granola bars.

We were unaware the hotel did not offer parking until we arrived. We had to walk our luggage to a public garage 5-10 walk away. The neighborhood the hotel was in was sketchy to say the least! Otherwise, the service, cleanliness and breakfast was great.

Power went out in the hotel for around 12 hours. No lights, water, shower etc. Hotel said it was the city that shut off the power so we were out of luck. Had to wander around the city for a few hours. Asked about taking a shower and was told there was nothing they could do. Had to buy a case of water from a local store to use to take a shower. No refunds or anything offered was told it was the same as if the power went off in my house and was told "well you slept in the room". Poor customer service. Contacted Hyatt customer service and haven't received a response as of yet.
Almost 300/Night for a water bottle shower.

Great hotel for a downtown stay! The staff was all very helpful and friendly, the city views were amazing, and the proximity to walkable activities and the metro was perfect. The breakfast was good but very chaotic and busy, and the elevator situation left a bit to be desired (frequent long waits), but overall it's a worthwhile place to stay.

When we arrived at check in, the property did not have power due to some city water main break. The staff was professional and unflappable. There were a lot of people who were looking to check in. The room itself was ok, clean but rather small. It was warm due to no A/C all day and it took a while to be a comfortable temp. There is a park directly in front of the hotel that had a lot of fun activities. Overalll a good stay.

No water, no electricity, no compensation :(
We arrived at the hotel while it was out of power du to a major water leak in the city. Couldn’t get in the hotel from the parking so we had to walk around. The front desk told us the room had no power, no A/C, no water, no shower, no toilet but it should be back soon and the will offer a compensation at the check out based on the duration of this. Really disappointed cause we needed a shower badly but hey, it is not their fault, so let keep it positive. We drop the stuff and left since we couldn’t do anything. At the checkout the only offer a free parking even I insisted it wasn’t enough for a 500$ room without water and electricity. Nobody cares. Really disappointed since the room itself wasn’t bad, even we had the wrong side of the building so the view wasn’t super nice but the bed was comfortable and the size of the room was good, but the no toilet no shower thing ruined it all. :( Can’t understand they wouldn’t offer a compensation!

Quiet rooms, breakfast was mediocre and needed to get there early because of the amount of people that line up for the buffet. Staff very friendly. Gym had great equipment.

Connected to a small mall with its own metro station made it very convenient. Parking on site is very tight and very low head clearance, I’m 5’-6” and had to duck at places. If you drive anything over 5’-10” beware. Vans can’t go up the ramp so limited to first level of parking. Room was great, friendly staff. Breakfast was wild. Great selection but very busy after 9. And trying to catch an elevator afterwards was a cattle line. That was my only complaint. Pool is quite nice, great for kids, has a large shallow area with a deep dip in the centre and goes shallow again at the other end.
