We were at a wedding in the North East & stayed at Eshott Hall for 2 nights An exceptional place to stay, the grounds alone make it exceptional. The room was spacious & clean. We ate in the restaurant the first night, a great menu to choose from, the food when it arrived didn’t disappoint! The staff were welcoming, friendly and professional. Special thanks to Demi, Adam and Dave who looked after us so well. Thank you Eshott Hall, we will be back 😊 X

Great overnight stay
Delightful accommodation.We went in the grange with two dogs and we had plenty of space in our room with a super size bed and a separate bathroom. Lots of parking, plenty of space to walk dogs. Breakfast was first class. We had superb Eggs Benedict, but also had salami, cheese, croissants and pain au chocolate. There was also cereals, fruit, yogurts etc in offer. Location is great for all major towns and smaller places, like Rothbury.

Lovely Eshott Hall
We had a fabulous stay at Eshott Hall. The accommodation is incredibly comfortable, clean and accessible. Staff were excellent and the food superb. The location is great too, incredibly peaceful and less than 15 minutes from beautiful beaches. Highly recommend.

We didn't even stay because our room was that filthy… we booked another hotel and left! The room was COVERED in dust, cobwebs, spiders and flies. Right next to your head where you would sleep… The carpet was dirty, walls all marked up, awful lumpy bed and room decor/furniturefrom the early 1900’s. Disgusting conditions for a ‘4*’ hotel.. Cleaner conditions at a hostel.

We recently returned to Eshott Hall for the fifth time as part of our honeymoon, only to find a noticeable decline in the hotel's overall condition. The original room, a familiar choice for us, was dishearteningly thick with dust, featured hairs in the bath, stains on chairs, and dirty carpets. The subsequent room in the main house wasn't any better, with dust, curly hairs in the sink and bath, dusty bed frames, lumpy mattresses, and more dirty carpets. It's evident that maintenance has been neglected over the past 18 months, both in the rooms and throughout the hotel's internal and external spaces. There was a lack of apology initially, but we hope to hear from the General Manager soon. Regrettably, this experience has led us to decide against returning to Eshott Hall. It's disappointing to witness a decline in quality and pride in a place we once held in high regard. On a positive note, we were able to secure a last-minute booking at Matfen Hall, saving our honeymoon from further disappointment.
