Beautiful hotel in lovely surroundings. Staff are helpful and friendly. Highly recommend it - cannot wait to go back.

Staying at Eshott Hall was a real treat. Our room (The Drey) was superb with a huge bathroom, beautiful bed and furnishings, tea & coffee facilities and bathroom/slippers, but what really made the difference was the little extras. The service in the restaurant was impeccable and the food delicious and affordable, the staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was served in a gorgeous room and the choice was plentiful. The setting for the evening meal was intimate, relaxed and the ambience perfect. I cannot praise this place enough and will definitely return again.

Great short stay

Didn't feel welcome,

Bathroom was the smallest we have ever seen, room very cold no heating , breakfast was chaotic, staff didn't no what they we're doing, very disappointing

A good B&B

A nice B&B, would have been good to stay in main building. Very quiet which made is feel like we couldnt talk. Classical music playing I'm every room, quite overbearing at times. Lovely grounds.

Good hotel with some unfortunate disappointments

Pros: Comfortable, lots of charm, excellent food.
Cons: Service in general.
Location: Good wildlife park nearby. Alnwick Gardens are lovely.
The hotel is generally very nice and our room was incredibly comfortable. Unfortunately the hotel was having a bee problem when we visited, and there were 10-15 half-dead bees crawling on the floor outside our bedroom at any given time. I reported this to reception and was told "thanks, we know, and it's OK". It's not really OK. No offer was made to sweep up the bees, and we had to step round them to avoid staining the carpet. The second disappointment was that the shower temperature control was broken. The knob kept spinning and was clearly no longer attached to the proper mechanism. When I checked out, I explained that our stay had been somewhat spoiled by these problems, and was expecting a small gesture of goodwill (eg. our small bar tab to be covered on the house). However, this was not the case.

Lovely country home

Pros: Relaxing and quiet
Location: Easy access by car to lots of local towns. We went to alnwick, almouth and warkworth
Great stay in a lovely room with huge bath. Went and bought bubbles specially! Very relaxing hotel in a quiet village. Nice grounds surrounding it. Great breakfast and we had a lovely dinner the night we arrived too. Would visit again.
