Dating from 1583 , our property offers a cosy and peaceful 10 acre property in a sleepy village in "Périgord Vert". It is 20 mn from Aubeterre sur Dronne, 30 mn from Brantome or Angouleme, and 45 mn from Périgueux .
The property consists of the original 16th-18th century village forge and farmhouse, and is used most of the year by our large and energetic family as weekend and holiday getaway, with its pigeon tower and outbuilding swimming pool, large garden and parking.
We offer authentique, comfortable and spacious fully renovated accommodations with central heating, open log fire and wood inserts, but also all the mod cons you would expect to take it down a notch.
PLEASE be aware that this charming house is very old, and its soundproofing is not of the highest standard...
Well behaved pets are welcome.

BELOW is a full description of the property and its facilities
The House
Extensive Period 15th _17th century property fully renovated, lots of character, 320m2 of accommodation.
Old beams, old wide floorboards (not efficient soundproofing-wise), old terracotta floors, tasteful decoration using traditional finishings.
Ground level kitchen, fully equiped to a high standard to cater for up to groups of 16 people, with two fridge/freezers, dishwasher, dual induction hobs, dual ovens and microwave. Laundry facilites include washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing equipment.
Dining Room : extensive inside dining facilites for up to 14 adults at table, wood log insert.
Lounge : spacious with an open fireplace, comfortable furniture, Bluray /DVD player and iPod /USB music system .
7 spacious bedrooms : 5 of the bedrooms have large double beds (160 and 180cm); 2 bedrooms may be set up for triple accommodation according to your needs. There are also 3 cots (which complies with British Safety Standards).
3 bathrooms, on each floor at each end of house + one separate WC on the first floor. There are hairdryers in each of the bathrooms
iPod Dock /USB sound bar and an External 32inch PC screen to enable connection to your PC via HDMI + WiFi connection... NO TV !
West facing sun-drenched terrace area with dining area, sun screening with adjacent Barbecue /Plancha under the pigeon loft.
Terrace looks on to adjacent garden and towards the pool area
Smoking in all interior areas of the property is forbidden.
The Swimming Pool :
Pool 12m x 5m around which there is a large sun terrace . The pool is equipped with sun loungers and sunscreens. For toddlers there is a 30cm paddling area.
Please note that the pool has been fenced to meet with statutory requirements. Pool towels are not provided.
Other facilities
Parking outside the property, or private parking for up to 3 cars in separated courtyard .
