Overall it was a nice stay in the room, however even though it was Thanksgiving the construction crew was actually working in the lobby. There is no self parking and valet is $40 per day. I feel the resort fee should have been waived since it's currently a construction zone.

We arrived at Marriott Courtyard on November 22, 2024 to find that the entire Lobby & 1st floor is under construction. We addressed this with Expedia and no resolution except for us to find a different hotel in 30 minutes which was the comment from the hotel manager. We are from Ohio and our first visit to New Orleans. We’ve been up that morning at 3:30 am to catch our flight to NOLA. Our room wasn’t ready so we went and had to find dinner. So by this time it was about 6:30 or 7 pm. The hotel didn’t have anything food, lobby to sit and chat nothing. Construction workers everywhere in lobby hammering, moving large pieces of materials, dirty, dark, disgusting. The valet employees was so nice & friendly. When o personally tried to resolve issue with manager he said we could stay the night & then move in morning. Which didn’t work for us because we had to find breakfast, store and head to Baton Rouge for there’s other day. Also, check in time for another hotel would’ve been 3 pm Saturday which we were heading to Baton Rouge at 1:00ish pm. Terrible stay with zero compensation!!!

Room was very clean but all of the hallways reeked of marijuana. The knob for the shower fell off the first time I touched it and we had to reattach/adjust it every time someone showered. The girls at check in and check out were not friendly at all. When I told the girl at check out she had zero concern and just said “I’ll let someone know”

I have stayed at this property in the past. It was disappointing to find the whole lobby dismantled and dusty and noisy due to renovations. I had booked this hotel b/c it offered food for breakfast but that was not available and it was not shown on the Expedia website that it was under construction. I prefer the location for the distance from the busy areas like the French quarter and the closeness to upscale evening dining experiences like Emeril’s and Mulate’s. They only clean your room once every 3 days unless you ask for more. We had to ask for more towels because they often did not dry due to the humidity.

I booked two rooms and both had similar issues. The room was not properly cleaned. The shower curtain in the bathroom was dirty, we didn’t get our room cleaned the entire 4 day stay. We asked for clean towels the house keeper said yes she would get us some fresh towels, when we got back the dirty towels was still in the room. The hotel is undergoing construction so the lobby is not user friendly and all the chairs are bundled together. The blinds in the room need to me cleaned, there were stains on the chair and the floor in the room. One of the beds in the room had makeup stains called for assistance and I was told I needed to take the sheet of the bed and go downstairs to collect clean sheets. I don’t think the staff that works there care.

Zero white glove service.
Some of the staff had attitude and were not helpful. They treatment I received for the most part was not that of a paying guest. The TV never worked the whole time I was there. The AC and heat didn't work either. Couch was torn up and needs updating. The gym had 2 treadmills and only one worked the whole time I was there. I was there for 6 days. Spacious room, comfortable bed and the water was perfect. They were nice enough to let me check out at 1pm.

A fine place to stay for a conference
This was a fine hotel and a good price, near the convention center where I had a conference, but also not so far to walk to Frenchman St and even Canal/Bourbon. Uber/Lyft drivers were a bit confused about the location, but it was otherwise very practical. There is a music club across the street that has the whole place pulsating a bit on party nights, but pop in some earplugs or headphones and you're fine. It was clean and it was safe, and that's good.
