A Great Hotel, at a Great Price, in a Great City
This hotel was unbeatable for the price and location. My friend and I even had access to the balcony outside that had a view tyat far exceeded my expectations. I always look forward to my next trip to New Orleans. This was my first time at the Dauphine Orleans and I will definitely be back.

Liked how hotel was in French Quarter, onsite valet and it was quiet. Did not like the room, smelled moldy, and toilet was in the middle of the bathroom making it hard to use the sink, also water in shower did not get very hot and tub would not drain properly leaving you standing in soap scum while showering

I liked the location for easy access to Bourbon Street, but hotel has drastically gone down in accommodations, holely but clean sheets. Sadly, I will have to look for another hotel next time I’m back in New Orleans. This was my 4th visit so I am aware of how this hotel looked over the last 13 years.

This was our second experience at the Dauphine Orleans. The first stay was in the main house. This time we stayed in the Hermann House - we love a historic building. The room was spacious & relatively quiet. Love the proximity to the Quarter & all it offers, as we always pack comfy shoes to walk everywhere. Housekeeping was prompt & friendly. Front desk staff was kind, responsive & accommodating. Valet service was very friendly & helpful. There’s a few things that need to be addressed, however. Maybe replace bedside lamps that have extra outlets/charging ports. Old buildings don’t have enough outlets for modern electronics. Check the light bulbs. Two in our room flickered incessantly, so much that we just unscrewed the offenders. Also check the battery in the thermostat. Ours needed replaced & a red light stayed on the entire week. Provide an extra blanket. Add some weather stripping at the bottom of the doors. There are some pretty big gaps that could be easily filled. Give the baseboards a good cleaning. Provide television service that isn’t static-y. All in all, our stay was pleasant & we weren’t disappointed with our beautiful, unique room. Everything mentioned above is an easy fix & mostly routine maintenance/housekeeping issues. We definitely recommend The Dauphine to our friends & family.

The room didn’t have a microwave, refrigerator nor ironing board. Both ice machines on our floor were out of order. Very limited or statically tv channels. Housekeeping didn’t leave new face clothes one day. All these items made the stay inconvenient although some items like microwave and fridge weren’t listed and were overlooked in booking, it was still inconvenient.

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. We arrived a bit early and were able to check our luggage while we burned some time around the French quarter while waiting for our check-in time. Valet parking onsite is a major benefit, though it is a bit pricey. That said, this does help remove the concern of someone breaking in to your vehicle with street parking.
