The hall smelled terribly musty, the hall carpet was wet the whole time and there a was a fan in the middle of the hall running the entire time from when we checked in to when we checked out, which was 5 nights. The door handle of the room popped off, and when we told them about it, no one ever came to check it. The toilet would barely flush it took multiple flush to get anything to go down. I understand it's an old building, but general maintenance and working basic amenities should not be an issue. When we first checked in they charged us upfront for parking for the 5 nights, then the day we checked out our card was charged a random 53$ which we told were nothing about, we got an alert from our card of the transaction, when we asked what it was from they told us it was for the last day of parking even though we already played for parking and no extra days were added or anything, they just told us it hadn't been included.

Every staff member we encountered was extremely nice, helpful, and welcoming. We arrived earlier than expected and unfortunately due to rain our sightseeing was cut short they made it possible for us to check in early. The hotel is older however in overall good shape. We enjoyed our stay and would differently stay there again.

We wanted to stay somewhere that was close to public transportation, in the french quarter and close to the popular sights. The staff were very friendly and helpful and I would definitely stay here again
