This property is in a good location that is walkable to shopping, restaurants, bars, and public transportation. It was a little loud in the morning with the trash pick up and trucks, but ok. For the room, it was basic but ok. There was no full length mirror and the tv was small and only showed the weather channel with the picture being fuzzy so we couldn’t watch the football game we wanted. The first night we were cold during the night because there was only a sheet and thin blanket, but we asked for another blanket the following day so that was solved. Front desk staff were friendly and overall we we enjoyed the stay and would go back.

There are pros and cons but unfortunately the cons were enough that this will be a one and done. Pros - the valet attendant is very pleasant and helpful which is nice as he’s the first person you speak with. The front desk attendant at check-in was great and then it went downhill from there. Cons - the AC in the first room was entirely too cold. They made an adjustment and then when we got back there was no air circulation at all. The night attendant was very rude and effectively tossed the keys to another room at us after telling us there were no available rooms. The beds are uncomfortable and you roll to the middle. The hotel itself is a very cute, old New Orleans hotel and the location is great if you want to stroll the French Quarter. With a little work it would be worth rhe cost. Another con was the bartender at the hotel bar. She was extremely rude and didn’t bother to stand up or offer to get us a drink so we left. With all the choices in NOLA I would choose somewhere else.

We enjoyed the ambiance and beautiful old room. The bed and pillows were nice. Maintenance on wobbly desk, loose outlets, no cable tv (and had to have channels reset after every turn on), and tub drain plug (had hole in it). These items being updated would have made it a more pleasurable experience.

The housekeeping staff only came on days they felt like it... And sometimes at 9am, others at 2pm. Had to call the desk for toilet paper. Other than the housekeeping and the weird scratched up mirror around the jacuzzi rub, the place was stellar. Quiet, secure, with beautiful exposed brick walls and wood beams, and adorable courtyards. Fantastic historic building.
