We had an excellent stay. The staff is top notch. The building and grounds are very well maintained. Our room had a small bathroom but the shower was big, clean and had good water pressure so it wasn't a big deal to us. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the French market inn for 4 days and we had a mostly enjoyable visit! The property is clean if a bit dusty, has charming design and well located off of Decatur. Even though we were off a busy street the noise from outside, even the steamboat, never bothered us much at all. The same can’t be said for the interior noise. Maybe it’s just what you get when you stay at older hotels but we heard far, far too much from both our next door and upstairs neighbors, the walls are far too thin. Being woken up at 1am by our neighbors’ horizontal tango was not pleasant, all 3 times it happened. The performance in the afternoon was just as bad. The housekeepers could also use some door stoppers when they clean because the slamming doors at 10:30am were obnoxious. Besides the noise, the beds are hard as a rock and if you’re a side sleeper, good luck/don't. The pillows are pretty terrible as well and they only give you 3. Imagine the pillow you get on a plane. Now imagine it lumpier. On to some more good things! The bathroom was newly renovated and very nice, we had hot water and the tv had a great selection for whatever you needed to block out your neighbors humping. The whole room is dim and small, we weren’t expecting a cavernous space but having to step over our suitcases to cross the room was bad. Overall we enjoyed our stay due to the great location of this hotel but not much else. It was wildly convenient for bars, restaurants, tours, uber and pretty much everything.

Honestly we went because it was the most reasonably priced for the package but it was a genuine surprise how great it was. Would recommend 10/10!

The Market Inn is a beautiful, quiet, quaint hotel and the staff was very friendly and pleasant. It is so conveniently located that we were able to walk to most everywhere went. I totally enjoyed my stay.

The location and decor of this property is absolutely wonderful! My only cincern was that the door to our room didnt automatically shut completely so we did have to pull or push it to make sure it completely latched. Their staff is so helpful and were a delight to interact with. Everything in the French Quarter is just a hop, skip and a jump away.

This was a great place to stay as it’s central to all the shops and restaurants of the French Quarter without being in the hustle and bustle of Bourbon Street. Pros - location (this hotel is legit close to everything), they provide a fridge in the room, soup, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion were provided, the two female reception and all bellhop staff were awesome (friendly and super helpful), very cool antique feel to the building. Cons - our room wasn’t cleaned properly for 3/4 of our 8-day stay. The sheets weren’t changed, bathroom floors weren’t being vacuumed (there was long hair and I don’t have any!) and the “fresh” towels had hair stuck to one of them. This is tough for a person like me with a hair phobia. The biggest issue that I didn’t read about in any reviews was the close proximity of the train and paddlewheeler boats. The train legit came multiple times a night (3am, 5am) and rang their warning horns incessantly. This woke me up every night. The boats rang their whistles every morning. If you are a light sleeper beware of this. I would probably stay again if there were rooms with more insulation from the external noise (if possible) and if the cleaning was better.

I would definitely stay here again. It’s close to everything in the French Quarter. Most everything is walkable. The property has a very nice and quiet courtyard. We loved staying here.

Absolutely great
The staff were amazing and so helpful! The room was pretty with a slight view if a lush courtyard and the interior had beautiful brick. The restroom was small and the shower had some mold and hard water stains on the glad but that was all. The bed was very comfortable.
