They gave us the smallest room in a corner of the second floor. It was really bad. Housekeeping never showed up, we had to let the front desk know every day they didn’t clean.

Xtra night in the Big Easy

Lovely place to stay. Also staff very helpful! Willing to give suggestions and help you set up tours. Also spent time in the 21st Amendment jazz bar. Our bartender Susan was amazing. As was the music by Dr Sick.

The room smelled like mildew. So did the room where breakfast is. There was heavy construction work going on in the courtyard the whole time. Coffee was not available on Monday or Tuesday morning even though that was advertised. I’m not sure how this place made a top list. It’s quite run down.

I love the old architecture of this building. Beautiful arches, lovely open courtyard area with a cute fountain. There was a bar I never got to go to with an outdoor patio - it looked adorable! If you have an issue with stairs, I would be clear about ensuring you have a room that doesn’t require you to walk them. My 3rd floor room had a flight of stairs to go up, but I personally didn’t mind it. There were a few light sounds my first night that kind of woke me up (like water running in the bathroom randomly or light noises outside) but I didn’t even notice them the second night (probably too tired to care!). Location: an easy quick drive to my conference location and seemed in the heart of everything. Bourbon street was nearby and so was the riverwalk - so I was able to get a blazer last minute there, which was helpful. It’s an older building so it’s not perfect, but I do love older buildings with lovely architecture - so now that I’ve been there once, I would definitely stay there again. Staff was kind and super helpful also.

This is a beautiful hotel. The room was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was very nice with a big shower. There was a vanity outside bathroom to put on makeup. There was a makeup mirror in bathroom which I used every day. We liked that there was a fridge. The hotel was in walking distance of everything. We loved staying here. I wish we had known about breakfast and where it was. It’s not in the hotel and only open certain days so we had to go somewhere else most days. There is supposed to be a wine bar I was excited to visit. It was not that great. The charcuterie board they had on their menu wasn’t being served any more as well as one other snack to have with wine. The waitress/bartender was very rude. I think they need to update menu of what they offer. The whole experience was awkward. I was so disappointed as I love wine and was really looking forward to going here from what I had read. I would not recommend going there. We were also disappointed about the hotel, as we wanted a courtyard view. There was no point as they had this large ugly tarp covering the whole courtyard so you couldn’t see it at all. If you visit in on the main level it is beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Musty with friendly service

Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was spacious but the humidity level was highly uncomfortable. Everything felt damp including sheets. We felt sticky in the room. The room had a strong musty smell. We were given option to move to another room but the two options smelled just as bad. It seems to be a hotel wide issue. They desperately need a new ac system.

Parking way to expensive.

Nice hotel, good breakfast at reasonable price. Parking prices really expensive. $79 per night. Need to find a cheaper way to park. There are ways to make it happen help those who help you!

We loved our stay here! The convenience of the bag hold when you want to explore before or after check in is awesome. The rooms are cleaned daily which is a rarity these days. 2 fresh waters provided upon room cleaning and water available in the lobby. The bar attached to the hotel is just amazing. Location is superb. Walk to anywhere! Would lcome back in a second. We were so sad to leave.

The primary dings are the noise into the night and on this particular trip there was a water boil warning that the staff was slow to address and didn't seem to take seriously despite the fact it went on for a couple of days.
