My power was out at my residence and this room was what I needed to sleep in a airconditioned area.

There is so much I could say, but I will limit it to four things: the hallways were so disgustingly dirty that it was hard to fathom. Gross beyond belief. No ice machine anywhere. ALL elevators broken. Although the room itself was clean and comfortable, the exterior and parking lot was disgusting. Spend the extra $40 and stay elsewhere.

From the very get-go, service was absolutely terrible. We checked out the same day we checked in, within 30 minutes of arriving. The pictures shown of this property are false advertisement. The rooms smelled of cigarette smoke, were stained up, & were very old. The keys also would not work opening the doors & the A/Cs were having issues- after becoming frustrated the front desk clerk decided to tell us. The room was not comforting at all. After switching rooms, three times, we had enough. We also found a flea on my husband. Service was hard to acquire from employees. The hotel refused to give free cancellation. I WILL NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.

The elevators were broken, told me room would on the third floor and would have to take the stairs. Asked to move to the first floor, said I would has to cancel booking and rebook at a higher rate, but the reservations was non-cancelable. So went to a different hotel and going dispute this credit card charge.

La Quinta? More like La Quindon't.
This did not meet the standards I would expect when I hear "La Quinta". First: a pro: the desk staff was friendly and helpful. If I owned a hotel, I would want staff like this. Now the cons. 1. The closet smelled like cigarette smoke. More on cigarette smoke further on. 2. The smoke detector was hanging off the wall, and had no battery installed. 3. The switch for the bathtub was jammed into "shower" mode. 4. The air vent in the bathroom was filthy. 5. The air conditioner could not keep up with the heat. This is New Orleans. It's going to be hot. 6. On the second day of our stay, housekeeping came in while we were out. The room smelled even more strongly of cigarette smoke than the closet had initially. I reported this to the desk staff because I do not smoke, and did not want to pay a cleaning fee. 7. The carpets leading to the lobby were filthy. 8 There was general wear to the room, such as worn areas of the bathroom door. 9. Paint was peeling on the exterior of the hotel. We thought we were getting a deal, it turned out there was a reason for the low price.

The rooms were good but the elevator was broken. We took the outside stairs but the ac units leak outside real bad and the stairs are rotting….so be careful.
