I like the look and feel of the property i reserved a room with a queen bed get inside the room two double beds i ask front desk what's wrong and she says that they're looking out for me because the room is bigger if i wanted 2 beds i would have reserved 2 beds but i guess she knows what i want more than i do

I like the property’s location, fairly close to the business district and French quarter. The price per night is reasonable. The area around the hotel is kind of sketchy though and doesn’t feel safe. The staff was helpful with my room not having a tv remote. The tv quality and size is great. A lot of little issues in the room—sink was backed up, only half the shower is protected with a glass wall so water gets everywhere when you shower. The room is pretty run down—tissue paper covering the window above the door, damage to walls, lamp shades, desk chair peeling apart, etc. the room also shares a door with the next room, so you hear the other people’s noise, not great sound insulation.

The staff was overwhelming polite, friendly, informative and professional. My room was clean, the AC was exceptional and the bed....OMG! I was so comfortable that when it was time to check out, I did the "look back". Some will understand that. The breakfast buffet was a real breakfast, not just cereal and fruit. There were choices! I enjoyed my stay in New Orleans and the hotel played a major role in that experience. Great job staff! The Maison St Charles was a great choice. The streetcar runs right in front and will take you to Bourbon Street. The restaurant attached, Mr Ed's Seafood and Oyster Bar, wiil NOT disappoint. This hotel embodies New Orleans.

The beautiful white room in the photo we booked was not the room we received. The desk attendant told me that room doesn’t exist. We were moved three times to different rooms because the air conditioning wasn’t working. We were given a voucher for breakfast for our troubles. I wouldn’t pay $15 per person for this breakfast buffet. Not worth it at all. Typically basic breakfast you would see at a Comfort Inn. The hotel was clean and property felt safe. We were looking forward to the pool and hot tub but it was swarmed with kids. For the price it was fine, just a little disappointed the rooms in the photo was not at all what we were expecting.
