Suite in original Mansion

Rathbone Mansions was a lovely place to stay, old world charm and friendly service. Walking distance to Bourbon St. if you don't mind walking 14mins to Lafitte's Blacksmith Bar. Bed was comfortable but don't expect everything to be like a new hotel. You will the character & style of both Mansions.

Bad Management

The manager, Kiki was rude and not accommodating upon speaking to her on 4 different occasions! The rooms were nice and comfortable. The tv was difficult to operate and connect to the wifi.

Rathbone is very cozy and charming, and conveniently located. There were a few minor things that could be improved-- the kitchen sink in the room needed a new aerator (it sprayed water to the sides), and the lights in the pool area wouldn't turn on so it was a bit dark at night.

it's not the easiest when you have a delayed flight, cant reach out after hours and hope to receive a text with the code to enter. so, that's what happened. i also didn't know that there were 2 locations so the code we eventually received, wasn't for the right location. aside from this, the stay was pleasant.

The only issue was finding our room, and figuring out how the gate codes worked. But we dropped our bag early, and came back after desk hours. Someone did anser the help line and got us straight on everything.

Creamer and coffee lacked attention. The beds are getting old as we had a hump between us. You have to waste 5 gallons of water before the shower finally heats up. It is tough to navigate schedules and transportation in LA. Overall, the hotel is very old, and we never used maid service, so for the most part, I'll give it a 4-star rate.

I did not get the room that was shown in the picture when I booked it on Expedia. It was much smaller and it had no heat/ac in the bathroom. It was about 40 degrees in the bathroom which is very cold when you wake up at 4:30am to walk into the bathroom barefoot on the almost frozen marble floor. I will say that Kiki at the front was extremely nice and helpful and she does an excellent job. I would go back again, but I want to be guaranteed the room that I was shown online that I thought I was getting. Would not stay in that room I was put in again.

Overall , the place was in a good location to walk over to the French Quarters. Staff was friendly and informative on place around the neighborhood and things to do in the city. Breakfast is a light breakfast (Coffee, protein bars and fruit) The needs to be a few updates to property like lighting and door locks.

An amazing value for the rate. A short walk from Frenchman street and the Quarter in one direction, a slightly longer walk the other direction to the amazing NOMA Sculpture garden and St Louis Cemetery 3. Clean, quiet, with a relaxing pool and hot tub out back. Rooms are small but well appointed, and the bed was crazy comfortable.
