Walking in the lobby smelled like vomit. The blankets on the bed had cigarette burn marks and stains. Hole in the restroom ceiling. We styed for 2 nights. Both nights there was someone (rumor it was an employee) with a noise maker at random times at night. Both nights the fire alarm got pulled. My daughter's felt unsafe at this location. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
We had multiple things wrong with the room. We made countless calls and stopped by the front desk multiple times to speak to a manager and nothing was ever done or resolved. I do not recommend staying here.
Make sure to bring your lysol wipes and febreeze. I had to go to the store to get febreeze because the room smelled so bad. During our 3 day stay i used the whole bottle and it barely helped. Also bring a shower curtain. Our shower did not have one. While yes, I could have gone up to the front desk to ask for one, i did not want to have any more interactions with the rude and vile people that work there. Mold and mildew everywhere. Fruit flies galore. WE EVEN HAD TO WAIT FOR OUR ROOM TO CHECK IN BECAUSE THEY WERE SPRAYING THE ROOMS FOR ROACHES
Only good part was the bed was excellent, but that it. Non smoking room was a smoking room, front door had been kicked in, forget a continental breakfast, walls in bathroom had brownish stains that hopefully were only mold and not something more disgusting. Due to a Taylor Swift concert going on in Nola, everyplace was gouging price wise, Red Roof was no exception.
This hotel will haunt my dreams. We barely made it through the night.
The room was absolutely filthy. My brand new white socks were black from walking on the floor. There were dead bugs everywhere, even next to the drinking glasses they provide. Oh, and live ones too! Cockroaches EVERYWHERE.
I found the first on my water bottle and suddenly we were noticing them everywhere. We sat on the bed and watched in horror as they slowly came out of hiding spots and started crawling the walls. Everytime we'd turn on the light in the bathroom, theyd run across the mirror or sink. The only reason we stayed at all was because everywhere was sold out that night for the eras tour.
The staff seemed surprised to hear there were roaches and said they would talk to management and call me back, but never did. Truly the worst stay of my life.
This place was terrible upon arriving. First I was told that my room hadn't been paid for (which it had been days prior and I had the authorization code to prove). Then Expedia kept trying to call him to get it cleared up and he wouldn't answer the phone. Then when I told him Expedia was attempting to call him because I was chatting with them via the app he proceeded to tell me that their systems were down that's why the payment wasn't processed. I finally complained that he needed to answer the phone so Expedia could correct the problem. So he did and the Expedia rep told him how is he having problem with the payment now if it was authorized days ago and they took the payment days ago and they had the authorization number. Miraculously the system came back up at that moment. And I was let in to my room 2 hours after check in. Secondly the place was horrendous. Dirty inside and out. Homeless people were sitting at the entrance asking for money and walking around the hotel. The place had had an accident before because you could tell several areas had already disintegrated and fell down to floors below. An area in particular was above my room. I was working night shift so I sleep during the day, and Nan the noise wouldn't let me sleep. So when I told the front desk guy he said they didn't move people from rooms. It was take it or leave it. Place sucked and this place needs to be shut down and taken down from Expedia. Extremely dangerous, extremely unclean, in terrible disrepair
Unfortunately this was a very bad experience. The hotel was extremely filthy. Not clean, a lot of bugs in the room, and the plumbing backed up every time the toilet was flushed… The unfortunate thing is the staff knew the plumbing wasn’t working correctly and they still checked us into the room. After when I brought it to there attention, They offered to reimburse us 50% of the room cost but they didn’t fulfill the agreement. We had to use the bathroom in the lobby the whole night.
Unfortunately we couldn’t get a room somewhere else as (Taylor swift was in town)so we had to stay as we were traveling with our kids.
The hotel smelled horrible. Everything was dirty and there were stains on the sheets… we used the room for 4 hours and then had to leave because it was so bad.
Would love a refund but doubt that’ll happen!
The room was very dirty and encountered a poor interaction between staff and another patron

Run, don’t stay here if you can!!!!!!
It was just a bad experience from the beginning. The customer service lady was very rude. The first room she sent us to was dirty. So I had to wait for another room. There was dirty razors left over in this room stains on the blankets just an overall really bad experience. The room had a very bad smell. There was stickers left on the wall. The light fixtures were crooked no hot water. This hotel is very rundown and needs a facelift from Dr. Miami stat
There was an odor when walking into the lobby. It just smelled dirty. The room was clean, but the walkways were littered with trash and vomit in one spot. There was water near the vomit as if It someone tried to clean the vomit, but missed. The fire alarm system was beeping from the time we checked in through checkout. My husband is a fireman and regularly checks those systems. He said they must have had on a bypass or it needed to be reset. The curtains didn’t close properly and the bathroom door had a hole in it.
There were a lot of gnats in the room, dead ones on the bed. The lobby smelled when you came in and the room smelled. The worse part is the bathroom was the most horrible smell and we left at 2:30 in the morning not being able to stand the smell and drove the 5 hours back home. The guy at the front told me to leave a note for the manager to look at in the morning but when I called the lady said he’s out of town until Tuesday. We spent too much money for us to not even use the hotel since we went to a concert.
The filthiest room, the bed was rock hard, the closet door wouldn't shut, the tv played sounds but no picture. The lobby smells of sewage, there was trash every where such as old mattresses, broken doors and chairs laying in halls. The bedframe was peeling onto the floor the furniture was old there was aputlet of behind our heads above the mattress. They charged 255 for a room that is probably normally 65 because tsylor swift was in town and all local hotels were sold. The shower water was brown for first minute and the water pressure only worked if you held onto the shower head. Overall awful but the night clerk was a pleasant friendly guy.
This was an extremely uncomfortable stay. When I arrived the front desk person was cursing under his breath and yelling on the phone trying to arrange my room, saying how they were overbooked. I reserved a King non smoking suite and was put in a double bed smoking room. The door to my room looked like it had been broken into with the deadbolt falling off the door. I felt extremely unsafe. Also the WiFi was not working and various alarms were set off during the night. The room appeared quite dirty as well. Would not recommend and will never stay here again.
