Great location, short Uber ride or walk to downtown… Large grocery store two blocks away… Easy access to the rail system overall a great style room for New Orleans
Upon opening the front door to the hotel they had a leak, which was the first red flag. We were able to check in early, which was a bonus. When I got off the elevator on the floor of my room it reeked of mildew. Upon entering my room the furniture was old and reminded me of a funeral home. The bathroom was nothing like the photos. There was no walk in shower. The room was clean, but it smelled badly and was dewy. The windows and mirrors were dry rotted and rust was everywhere. I broke out in a terrible rash after sleeping on the sheets. Do NOT stay here.
The check in process is horribly invasive and requires that you scan your face from multiple angles. If I had known this before choosing this property, I would have never done so. There are full-service hotels at the same price point without this nonsense. Besides that, the bathroom was a little run down. There is no parking. It's somewhat noisy with the streetcar passing by. And there is no service to assist with anything. I recommend staying an actual hotel at the same price point as there are many in the area.
To say this place is a complete dump and ran like one is an understatement!! I get there to the room that they virtually send a code for only to find someone in the room already. No employees on staff they claim the previous management company just up and left the place and the new management company has no idea how to get it back in order. So they assign me another room only to find out somebody is in that room. Finally I get a a room with 2 beds when I paid for a king and the room was FUNKY AS HELL! Bathroom had mold all in the tiles, the tub was old and disgusting looking. This place should be a homeless shelter. Now all of this is happening at midnight because we took a late flight but it was no way I was staying there. Had to wait to get my refund but went to a Marriott and was nice and cozy! STAY AWAY FROM THIS OLD NASTY PLACE!

We arrived at the hotel just as there was a minor flood issue affecting parts of the third floor, which was under construction. While it was a bit unexpected, we understand that New Orleans is an old city, and the charm of these historic buildings sometimes comes with quirks. We also had a small issue in our suite, but I have to say, the hotel staff and management went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their responsiveness and dedication really made a difference

Typical old hotel for New Orleans. Just needed a place to sleep after the eras tour and it served its purpose. Staff was friendly.
