Things we loved about the Edison: could not ask for a better location for Broadway shows, Time Square and great eats in Hell’s Kitchen. We appreciated the excellent security and the cleaning staff were lovely. Things that were just okay: the “complimentary” breakfast was pretty basic and you absolutely pay for it with the daily $40 “resort fee”(definitely did not feel there were any resort benefits). They did give us additional vouchers for our party of 4 which was nice but, again, you are paying for this. Downsides: We were on the 7th floor facing 47th street and it was very noisy all night with street traffic, horns honking and trash collection. The rooms are basic and dated. If you want a fridge there’s an $30 fee. Also while Expedia did get us a deal on our first night the other nights were still exorbitantly expensive. Pay attention to the fine print and do the math so you actually get a deal! We had a great family trip to NYC but the city lacks the hospitality it was once known for, and literally everything is over-priced (especially for us as Canadians with the exchange).

Received email directing me to check in online, then use a kiosk upon arrival and receive a key “within seconds.” Kiosks did not work; stood in line to check in via the traditional, cumbersome, old fashioned way. Would not have been such an issue had I not been told I was “checked in.” Annoying.

I like that they had restuarants and a bar onsite. The staff were very helpful and nice. Felt safe my stay there. Hotel was clean and shopping, other dining places, and lots of entertainment in walkable distance and location near airport.

The location was close to everything. The staff were nice & helpful. However, the staff that serve grab to go breakfast at Bond45 got attitude. We went there only once & didn’t go back. There was a small cockroach run around in the bathtub.

Not good at all.
Very small rooms and worst of all the bathroom. One person barely fits. Shower overflows when flushing toilet. Staff not friendly at all, maybe I got the wrong shift but didn't see a smile, even at check in. Only cleaning staff was friendly. There was a building remodeling next to the hotel and seems to us they work on 24 hour shifts and the constant noise was overwhelming. I guess that's New York but it was pretty bad. Restaurants inside hotel were good. That's about it.

Check in process was the worst. It was slow and staff were not helpful or hospitable. Room was not ready until 5. They will hold your bags for a fee. My room Was loud and faced dumpsters. I will stick with my usual Hilton or Marriott in the future.

The location was perfect for our planned NYC activities. Valet parking gave us peace of mind and we were within walking or subway distance to everything we wanted to do during our stay. Onsite grab & go breakfast was great for a quick bite being adventuring in the city.

I always stay at this hotel when I'm in NYC. It's one block from tomes square and one block from the restaurants, subway, shopping. The staff is fabulous. The only complaint i have is that the bathrooms are extremely small and need updated. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel
