Great front desk staff - very personable, knowledgable and accommodating. We had a queen bed it was VERY comfortable and the room was very clean and a nice size with windows that could easily be opened and when closed, they shut out the noise very well. The bathroom is small but manageable since it is an old, historic hotel/building. The location was FANTASTIC! So much to see, do and the abundance of fantastic restaurants with a huge variety was a huge plus!

The staff should get 10 stars!! Friendly, funny and will drop everything to help you. The building is old which has its charm but outlets blow easily and wallpaper peeling. No frills but oh that staff!!! If you want to be in the center of Times Square without the crowds, this is the place.

The front desk staff was so nice and welcoming. Hotel rooms are a little outdated and small, but we didn’t spend much time in the room, other than to sleep. Conveniently located steps away from Times Square and many other popular places. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely be staying here again.

Very old property. Is quaint, and cool to see, but some inconveniences. No central air or heat. Window A/C is loud and had to be on a lot. If you open the window, loud street noise could be heard and there was no screen. Very small elevators. The fire doors in the hallway would not stay open so they could be heard slamming shut each time someone walked through the door. Virtually no decoration in the rooms. Nothing on the walls except an undersized television. No clock in room. Our phone did not work. No shelf space in the bathroom. Our bed was very comfortable and the closet was large with a good number of hangers. The dresser is large and the dinette table was appropriate size for the room and worked out well.

Great location for a stay to go to the theatre. AC didn’t cool the room and the lack of a mini fridge was a little unexpected. Staff was very friendly. I would stay here again.

A lovely little hotel a hundred and fifty yards from Times Square. A little dated but meticulously clean with lovely staff who will do their very best to help with anything. Massive bed, free safe in your room and iron and ironing board. Easy walk to all the main attractions and buses and subway for downtown. Would stay here again no problem.

Location is wonderful but room is cramped. Bathroom just has sink and toilet. There’s no counter to put toiletries so you have to use toilet tank lid for that which is slippery. Bathroom also needs hooks to hang wet towels. Electrical outlets are loose so had difficulty with charging cells. TV would sometimes shut off when trying to change channel or raise volume. Issue was erratic and would resolve itself eventually. Cleaning staff was nice. Location did make-up for these inconveniences. Microwave/frig needed but no room for it.

Great location, close by to all the attractions especially Times Square and Rockerfeller. Staff are fabulous! Hotel very traditional, rooms basic but its all you need for a stay in nyc! Would book again!

Great location and the room was clean and comfortable. This is a 120 year old hotel, which is very nostalgic and I like that. With that, though, it means some aspects seem old and worn, such as the elevator and hallways. And the bathroom was the smallest I’ve ever seen. They may be larger in deluxe rooms. But the time I booked my double room, only the basic was available.

Excellent hotel in the middle of Times Square, no views from the window as our room faced another building but it was very quiet. Great for getting some peace after a crazy day in NYC. The front desk team were excellent especially Joe (what a credit to the team) he had an absolutely excellent and hospitable attitude. House keeping were very good and not at all intrusive which was a big bonus. No bar or restaurant facilities but the price of a room is very reasonable so no big deal. We would definitely stay again.
