Avoid. Seems there is no one commanding this hotel. Lack of staff. Called three times for a towel, nobody came in . I had to go my self to the lobby. Another thing that is annoying if that they charge for each bag you leave if you come early before check in, also same issue at check out. The excuse they gave me is that it a third party company holding the luggage. So we where 4 people with bag and carry on , so we paid about $ 48 on arrival and another $ 48 at checkout. The Starbucks onsite,also depending the day where overwhelmed. Again no management. Very disappointing overall.

The Sheraton Times Square has seen its better days. Renovations/basic upkeep abounds including: the front entrance on 7th was closed, stairs and escalators cordened off, areas half painted, detours to avoid work. At the same time, it was still over crowded, dingy, and cramped. The carpets had likely not been replaced since the 1970s and the heyday of smoking. The nickel and diming was a frustration as well (a charge of $21 for ?, but you could use it for credit in their cafe; a card you could redeem for a bottle of water?). Finally, I was checked into a room on the 37th floor only to get there and find it hadn't been cleaned yet. There are plenty of hotel options in midtown/Times Sq. This shouldn't be your choice.

There is currently active construction in the lobby adding extra walking to check-in. The breakfast buffet is about $38 per person and the grab and go was hit or miss depending when you het there and also a per item cost. The cool thing is they do have Starbucks in the hotel and a great fitness center. The only weird thing is that people from the outside can stare in and watch you workout The room is very small and had peeling wallpaper with plaster exposed on the floor. The staff and the location make it a great deal and if you are in town and will use the hotel just to sleep, it works.
