For a last minute hotel that was sold as a “deal” It was overpriced, tiny, No view , No ambiance. It felt like a Best Western at best! Skip it

Excellent, confortable hotel
Excellent hôtel, very cool modern industrial design but warm at the same time. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom. No coffee machine in the room, free coffee in the bar in the morning with the cheapest croissants in New York. The only negative was the noise from the street, the windows are not insulated for the noise. Maybe a room in the back would be better. Centrally located, near Grand Central, lots of dining options round the corner on Lexington avenue. Walking distance to Times Square and the theaters. We will stay there again on our next trip to NYC.

Nice place, but no different from many others in NYC. Love the location. The desk staff was cool (meaning aloof), with no culture of greeting upon entering or leaving. That’s pretty shabby for $1500. This should change today. Rooms need full length mirrors.

Love the Character
This was a good stay. Biggest positive was the size of the room - it was a suite and had lots of room. 3 of us, so plenty of room to spread out. We stayed 3 nights, so this was nice. It is an old hotel, so expect the character - not the new feeling. We like this, so it was great. There is a restaurant next door, but limited hours, and breakfast was possibly hot coffee (free, but pot was often empty) and a $3 muffin/croissant. Lots of other places in the area though. Speaking of, many things are within walking distance - Grand Central, Rockefeller, Empire State.
