This awesome Beach Pad couldn't be closer to the sand and surf of stunning Mawgan Porth Beach, being set just across the winding coastal road. The family-and-dog-friendly cove sits in the valley between the quaint fishing town of Padstow, famed for Rick Stein's restaurants and world renowned Newquay, home of the UK's biggest waves. It's also just a stone's throw from Watergate Bay, a good base from which to learn to surf or explore Cornwall's other treasures such as the Minack Theatre and the Eden Project.

The apartment itself is laden with everything you need to make your holiday a fabulously easy one, with on-site parking, amazing sea views, TV, DVD player, WiFi, central heating, all linen and towels.

The description and reviews give an accurate picture. It’s in a superb location and overlooks the beach. Great places to eat and drink on your doorstep, so no need to cook if you don’t want to. It’s a basic/no frills accommodation -as described- but perfectly comfortable and clean. Great communication with owner prior to the visit. Would return

Very nice place to stay. Clean and good view of the beach. Music in restaurant below was a bit intrusive and went on until ten pm. Possibly will be longer in summer months. We went in October. Free parking for renters. Recommended if you don't mind music all day.

The Beach Pad was a great place to stay. Clean, bright with a sea and surf vibe and a fab view of the beach from the lounge. Inside it had all the amenities you'd require, a well fitted kitchen, a bright, modern shower room and outside, there were 2 sitting areas with views of the nearby countryside.. Mawgan Porth itself is a surf beach community with several places to eat.....notably the Catch seafood restaurant which serves high quality seafood dishes at very reasonable prices. There's also a pub, a pizza takeaway, several coffee outlets, ice cream, a deli, beach shop and a suef shop/ sxhool.....all within 5 minutes from the flat. There are regular bus services to Newquay and Padstow from outside the flat, one of which is on an open topped bus and some lovely coast path walks. All in all, everything you'd wsnt from a beachside holiday. Communication with the owners was very straightforward and easy and they were very helpful when we had to unexpectedly stay an extra night due to some of our party being taken ill. Thank you for a lovely break and the opportunity to rediscover some of beautiful Cornwall.

Property was generally good ,could of done with a spruce up . Only gripe was outdoor area was unusable due to a great big extractor fan from the fish restaurant below being 2 foot away from roof area.

Was a perfect property for my daughter who has autism to stay with grandparents, as she needed to bring her assistance cat too. The people in the restaurant below were super friendly and helpful; the views were brilliant, the flat really smart and well equipped.

Perfect location
The apartment couldn't be any closer to the beach and the view from the living area is amazing. The property is a bit tired in places but this is put to the back of your mind as the view and location are so good.

Great location, disappointing cleanliness and communication
It's a stunning spot, just over the road from the beach, with lovely views from the first floor lounge (though access via the restaurant's bin store is less inspiring)! Unfortunately, it really wasn't clean enough (dirty shower and parts of kitchen, hair on cushions etc) considering that there's a global pandemic and we'd confirmed with the host in advance that it would be thoroughly cleaned. The waste pipe also fell off the bathroom sink, so we couldn't use it for our last evening there. The host hasn't responded to our concerns about cleanliness. The restaurant downstairs is excellent; great food and really helpful staff who responded quickly to the leak and were happy to bring food up to the flat - luxury! We'd stay in Mawgan Porth again, but sadly not here.

Lovely stay
The flat was as described, there was some milk in the fridge and a little packet of fudge which added a nice touch. Overall the flat has a very nice atmosphere and is in a great location. One minus though, and that might just be me, the mattresses in both bedrooms are not great. The front bedroom with the bunk over the double has mattress toppers rather than actual mattresses. For a lightweight child this is probably ok but not for an adult. I am not very heavy but I felt every slat which didn’t make for a restful nights sleep. The mattress in the other double was better but sagging in the middle causing one to roll from the edges into the centre. This is not meant as criticism just feedback which I think will make the flat outstanding.

You couldn't ask for a better location in a really great point on the N Cornwall Coast. Everything there, self contained. Would have stayed much longer if we could. Very highly recommended.

Weekend Retreat
Lovely place and convenient. Could not ask for more. If you want to be away from the main tourist areas then this is the place, while located between New Quay and Padstow. Very responsive owner and the place is immaculate.

Very lovely apartment
The apartment and location is perfect for dog walking or sunny afternoons on the beach. It is also very close to a lot of surronding beautiful beaches and the town centre about 15 mins away. The apartment is well equipped and has everything you will need. It was toasty warm, cosy and very clean. The view is spectacular from the window, the pictures do not do it justice. There is a outdoor space enclosed which was perfect for getting our wellies on and off. The only thing we struggled with was the steep stairs at the back, but with a 4, 3, 2 year old and my mum on crutches we managed well. We also struggled to get the hob hot enough to boil some water, we wasnt sure whether we had missed a trick turning it on, there were alot of instructions in the manual on the table for appliances but couldn't find anything for the cooker. (Very small issue - we instead scrambled eggs for the kids instead of boiling some but avoided trying to cook anything in the pan cos we couldn't figure out how to get the hob hot enough) I would absolutely love to come back again but would maybe leave the kids at home, so me and the dog can really enjoy the area better. I didnt t meet Avis but the staff working in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful if we needed anything.

Fab location, clean warm and ideal for summer , or winter, holidays.
Really enjoyed our stay in a fab location. Restaurant is worth a visit, great food and service with a 10% discount! The flat itself was all it needed to be and convenient for both Padstow and Newquay. Would definitely stay there again.

Can't get any closer to the beach
What a lovely stay. You can't get any closer to the beach. From dusk till dawn this place is perfect. You go to sleep listening to the waves and wake up with a cuppa watching the waves. And if you don't want to make your own cuppa you can nip downstairs. The coffee is great. The flat is very well equipped and was set out perfectly for our young baby. The stairs up took a bit more consideration but were perfectly safe. Mawgan porth was such a lovely village. Peaceful with a gorgeous beach and little shops for all you need. Avis very responsive to any needs. Thank you for a fab stay!

Fabulous spot in beautiful location
It's a lovely apartment in a beautiful seaside spot. Very clean, stunning views, great for the beach / sea as so close and all of Mawgan Porth's facilities on the doorstep. The access to the property at the back with all the goings on of the downstairs restaurant isn't brilliant but that is small price to pay for the location. Very minor point: we spent 20 minutes trying to work out why a pan of water was not boiling on the induction hob only to learn in the end that the pan was not suitable for induction hobs and hence did not heat up! A sieve (for draining rice) would be helpful addition to the kitchen equipment too but these are really minor points in what was a very pleasant break.

Best view of beach in Mawgan Porth
This is a great appartment. More spacious and well appointed than the photos show. You do hear the beat of the music from the restaurant below through the floor but other than that its very peaceful considering MP can get very busy with day trippers. Only negative is that beds are not long at 6' in bunk room, and a small 4'6'' doublebed in main room so if you are very tall or 4 adults it may be a squish. There is lots of space out the back, where the entrance is, for hanging wetsuits and drying clothes but the smell and noise from the overflowning bins and extractor fan from the restaurant below mean it's not very nice to sit out there sadly! Parking is free in the carpark which is handy, as once you get to MP there is no need to go anywhere else. Fabulous shops and takewaways are all there a minutes walk from the appartment. We shall be back for sure. Thank you Avis!
