This impressive, large, well equipped and newly renovated villa in its own private grounds is located in Coaraze, listed as one of "Les plus beaux Villages de France", one of the most beautiful perched villages of France. If you want to get away from the crowds and enjoy complete privacy, but still be only approx. 30 minutes away from the airport, Monaco and the beaches of Nice and Villefranche-sur-Mer, and just 25 minutes from central Nice with its shops, restaurants and museums and beaches , then this is the perfect holiday destination for you. The villa sleeps up to 8 people (3 double beds and one double sofa bed) and has two terraces and a balcony all offering breathtaking views over the valley and mountains, a large swimming pool (heating for an additional fee), private gardens, multiple olive terraces, private parking and complete privacy. Enjoy an outdoor game of boules (petanque) or table tennis under the vines. Relax with a glass of wine and play a game of table football or billiards. Or go for an evening swim in the illuminated pool. Listen to the frogs singing at night on the banks of the river Paillon, watch the eagles circling overhead, and breathe in the freshest of air at 600m above sea level. At night the air is cool and clear - no need for air conditioning.

Coaraze is a beautiful perched medieval village bordering on the Parc National du Mercantour , one of France's largest national parks where you can enjoy long walks in the mountains, wild water swimming, zipline adventure parks between the pine trees, visit the Vallee des Merveilles, and so much more. There are many other stunning ancient villages within an easy drive, including Eze-Village, Luceram, Berre Les Alpes, Sospel and Peillon, to name but a few, offering history, folklore and excellent traditional cuisine. The Cote d'Azur with its seaside villages and beaches: Villefranche, Eze sur Mer, Beaulieu, Antibes, Roquebrune etc. is within easy distance, and also the vibrant Italian town of Ventimiglia with its colourful markets and pretty old town less than an hour away.

Amazing Holiday Villa!!
Great property, very private and secluded and in a lovely area. Host was fantastic, very responsive, quick and always available. Lots of space in the villa and around, facilities are also excellent and well maintained. Great for families or couples who would like to visit the area.

Traumhafter Ausblick
Wunderbares Grundstück mit großartigem Ausblick in die Natur! Vor allem ein Zimmer sticht heraus mit dem Design, Balkon und Ausblick. Wir haben den Pool und die Ruhe sehr genossen. Die Gastgeber waren sehr aufmerksam und hilfsbereit und telefonisch immer gut erreichbar für uns.

Ruhe, Ausblick und ein toller Pool
Wir hatten eine tolle Woche in der Villa Papillon. Das Haus ist gemütlich eingerichtet und die Küche war sehr gut ausgestattet. Gute Töpfe, gute Pfannen, ein scharfes Messer und eine sehr gute Kaffeemaschine sind leider nicht immer üblich. Hier schon. Die Betten haben gute Matratzen und Moskitonetze. So kann man nachts bei offenem Fenster schlafen. Vor der Anreise haben wir wir bereits ausführliche Unterlagen zur Anfahrt, zur Ausstattung des Hauses und zur Umgebung bekommen. Das war eine sehr große Hilfe und hat keine Fragen offen gelassen. WLAN hat super funktioniert (Streaming,von Netflix, etc. ohne Probleme). Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und hat via Mail immer umgehend geantwortet. Durch die höhere Lage der Villa ist es auch im August angenehm gewesen und der Pool und die Aussicht sind traumhaft. Wer noch nie schmale Passstrassen gefahren ist, für den ist die Anfahrt etwas herausfordernd. Auch wenn es nur wenige km bis zum Supermarkt sind, braucht man doch ca. 20 Minuten. Die Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit sind es auf jeden Fall Wert. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Great house in a beautiful location
The house is located 30 mins from Nice in a very quiet area surrounded by nature. The house has all furnitures and comfort you need. It is very well maintained. The swimming pool is large enough and surrounded with the hills. Sue, the landlord, is very helpful and will make sure your stay is going well.

Great stay at villa Papillon
The family stayed at villa Papillon for 2 weeks. The property is beautifully situated with a great view overlooking mountains. The house contains everything that a family needs for comfort and there was more gadgets than one could wish for. Pingpong table, pool table, Boule sets etc. The swimming pool was good sized and the temp of water was cooling. The house has a very fresh exterior and interior. The owners was very helpful and and nice, we would go back again any day of the week.

Belle maison dans un cadre spendide
La maison est telle qu’elle est décrite. Elle est très bien équipée et les extérieurs (piscine, jardin) sont magnifiques.. Le seul bémol est la forte chaleur et le manque de climatisation, les ventilateurs étant insuffisant et bruyant. La route d’accès à la maison est sinueuse, étroite et raide et peut décourager les sorties au restaurant la nuit tombée.
