The first night was wonderfully quiet and peaceful. The second night, another guest left their poor dog alone in the room, continued to bark for long time. I called front desk who took care of it. About 30 minutes later the barking stopped, assume the owners were told to return. Another guest was making very loud noises for awhile. I loved my room. The only downfall was a blue night light under outlet next to bathroom sink. It was So Bright and refected on the mirrored closet doors. I had to pull the blanket over my eyes. There was no way to cover the light. The whole left side of the room was lite up. I checked out 11/30, still have not received an email to confirm what I paid for my 2 night stay. Unless they are waiting for the complete charge to process through my bank. On the whole, I love this Hampton Inn, and will stay again when I return to Norfolk. Thank you!

Buffalo Bills fans
We were greeted by a very friendly front desk clerk and told us about all the hotel amenities. We swam in the clean pool room and had a nice exercise room. In the morning the shuttle service was ready to take us to the airport at 5:00am and there were complimentary breakfast bags since we left before the continental breakfast. We were visiting family and will be staying here again!

Our room’s AC Heater unit was not functioning properly. The night manager immediately changed the room to the one next door. She waited to make certain the new room AC unit was satisfactory. As we were checking the new room, ours started working! Although we didn’t have to switch rooms, she was still very pleasant about the situation. We appreciated her kindness and understanding.

Great stay with efficient shuttle
I often pass through Norfolk as it's an easy flight destination from my hometown to other parts of VA. I/We stay the night on each end because it's a long flight. We had stayed at another hotel when landing, and we were really disappointed (old, shabby, not clean). I was pleasantly surprised at the Hampton Inn stay at the end of my travels. Comfortable with enough space to sort my luggage and prepare for flight out. All items worked, and it was just nice. I needed a shuttle back to the hotel after returning a car in the evening and the shuttle was prompt and the driver courteous; same in a.m. on trip to airport. This hotel will be the one we book on all future trips to Norfolk.
