Uncomfortable Stay

The rooms are nice and clean, but the bed mattress was hard and very uncomfortable. We drove 7 1/2 hours to get here and did not sleep well at all. I did like the courtyard. We got up early to get ready but had no hot water until after 6 am. I won't stay here again. You shouldn't have to wait for hot water and it took forever to figure out the process to turn on the TV. :(

It was an awesome experience and place to visit. The owners had the sweetest and friendliest Dog named Callie she looks like a baked potato she greeted me one morning when I was enjoying the morning sunlight with a cup of coffee in the courtyard. Truly a delightful place to stay. Thank you.

Wanna go back already!

I had a great stay; the bed was comfy, shower felt nice, had a nice selection of lighting choices, a medium fridge 🤔 (like a minifridge with a separate freezer not a little door flap in the fridge), a microwave, nice updated furniture including a defogging mirror 😳 AND no bugs 😁 The couple that runs it is friendly and professional. I definitely plan on returning! Sorry, only pics I have are when I set up my bathroom stuff 😕

Hidden Gem

We were in town for a 3 night stay. The location is an older motel design that has been extremely well refurbished. The owner/operator was great. The hot water in the shower was strong and the bed comfortable. Absolutely loved the courtyard.

This motel is adorable, clean, quiet, and comfortable. I always seek out these old fashioned motels. I love them. The Bay Inn did NOT disappoint. Friendly staff, comfy bed, awesome water pressure, cute courtyard, and safe area. You will not be disappointed. Great value.

This was by far the nicest motel I've ever stayed in. The staff was friendly and efficient, it was very clean, in a convenient location, and quiet. There's really not a better option in tbe area for this price. We would absolutely stay here again if back in Norfolk.

I googled ‘cleanest motel in Norfolk’ and all the reviews about the Bay Inn were so positive! Sure enough, it was super clean and also affordable. The owners/staff are amazing and the property is lovely - we have already booked it again for next week when we come back to town!
