My stay was for two nights. The hotel staff was Friendly and the property was very clean. The room was clean and comfortable. The only complaint I have is a nasty sewer smell coming from the bathroom occasionally.

I had issues with the toilet that required 3 servicemen to fix on different occassions, so not ideal. With that said the staff was friendly and attentive and without me requesting it, housekeeping came in after the repair was complete and nicely cleaned and replenished the room. On another note, I got 2 little bites near my bellybutton and after googling it, they very strongly resemble bedbug bites. I have no experience with bedbugs and only having 2 bites seems odd. They are super itchy and just in case I have washed all the items in my suitcase. I just don't know about this place, I'm all itchy just writing about it?? It's a great location, parking is free, staff is nice.

The property seems a bit dated but it’s in a convenient location for trips into Berkeley. We love that many restaurants are nearby, some even walking distance. The rooms are comfortable but can be a little noisy when you have neighbors.

Emeryville is central with San Francisco to the west, Oakland and Sillicon Valley to the south, and Napa and wine country to the north. The hotel is right off the freeway, so convenient if you have a car, but not so close to the freeway that you hear noise. In fact, it’s a quiet and peaceful hotel with a pleasant lobby and fresh smelling hallways every day throughout the day. Parkway is free, a major plus. If you’re on foot, there’s Emery-Go-Round, a free bus service that takes you around the city to key spots, including the MacArthur BART Station. The hotel is in a prime location, between the older yet still very vibrant Open Court eatery across Powell, and Bay Street, the more modern and upscale shopping area with movie theater. Right across the street to the west is yet another shopping area which includes Trader Joe’s. Besides its central location and free parking, what I really like about the hotel is the fact that there is a refrigerator and a microwave in the room. Definitely top of the list when I visit the area again.

Nice room with good Bay/Bridge view
The staff was friendly and welcoming. The hotel room was very nice. The only negative I can say is there is only one 2-port outlet by the sink and they had a scented plug-in in one of the ports so not ideal for someone needing to plug multiple items. The bed was comfortable. The shower was nice glass walk-in with dual shower heads. We had a Bay View room on the 6th Floor. The view of the Bay and Bay Bridge was good. The hotel is right off the highway and minutes from the Bay Bridge. There is a shopping area across from hotel/walking distance. Very good experience. We would definitely stay here again.
