Olhao
Great location in a small town. Walkable to local shops and markets. This apartment is on the third floor so if you have any mobility issues it is probably not for you. Some issues with the a/c unit but the hosts did all they could and were quite responsive. Overall a great place to stay.

Best place to stay in Olhao
Fantastic apartment if you want to stay in Olhao. It is spotlessly clean, well equipped and is located in a great area. We enjoyed good weather and spent many afternoons on the roof terrace which has sun all day. Once the sun is gone, just move down to the balcony and people watch on the pretty tree lined street below. The apartment is very handy for the bus & train station, supermarkets and the town centre. There is absolutely no reason to rent a car if you stay here. The building is very secure and quiet. Francisco & Ana kindly picked us up from the airport and pointed out some of the landmarks of Olhao on the way in. A great couple to deal with and all correspondence was good. Many thanks. We want to return already....

Cosy apartment in the centre of a traditional Portuguese town
We were unlucky with the weather during our stay but this well equipped, comfortable apartment, in the centre of town allowed us to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Some reviews have mentioned the fact that the apartment is on the third floor (4th to Americans) as a negative but the higher the better for looking down on the town. At first we were concerned about parking our car in a side street but we need not have worried - all safe. Whilst the apartment is very suitable for a long stay, there isn't that much to do in Alhao itself.

The only good thing for me was it was n Olhao which Is an absolutely beautiful place to visit. The islands are all stunning and some amazing bars and restaurants. The apartment was extremely basic. 3 flights of steps up to the apartment with no lights working making it very dangerous late at night. The apartment was on a busy noisy street. You could sit out on the tiny balcony if you wanted to sit and take in the car fumes. Every time you opened the wardrobe door it fell off. Upstairs seating area only had 2 sun beds so didn’t work for the 3 adults. I found the owners rude, changed their mind about departure times mid way through our stay. Thankfully the hotel marina spa allowed us use of the facilities there. Beautiful place. For me somewhere I would never stay again. Loads more trips to Olhao but never in that apartment.

Perfect base for a stay in Olhão
This was our first visit to Portugal and we loved it. The apartment was well equipped and in a great location No car needed, but be aware it’s on the 3rd floor. I had had a hip replacement 3 months before our visit and coped OK.

Fantastic apartment in lovely Olhao
June 27th – July 4th 2018 A lovely well equipped apartment in an ideal location. Centrally situated for the railway station, shops and restaurants. Olhao is a charming town full of quaint cobbled streets to stroll around, a relaxing place to spend a holiday. We loved having a drink sitting on the balcony watching the world go by below. There are plenty of interesting places to visit only a ferry or train ride away. Ana & Francisco were ideal friendly hosts. They couldn’t have been more helpful picking us up and taking us back to the airport. This meant the holiday got off to a hassle-free start. As we had a late flight home they kindly kept our cases so that we could go off and make the most of our last day. Any problems they were only a phone call away. This was our first visit to the Algarve and we weren’t disappointed. A beautiful area with very friendly people we will certainly be back. Thank you for a wonderful holiday. Susan & David Watt

Perfect Location.
Brilliant location, comfortable clean and fuctional apartment Perfect hosts. Would be 5stars but for the stairs, we are in our 70's and they were a little challenging. Young and fit no problem. Roof terrace a great bonus. Abundance of supermarkets and restaurants within 2 to 10 minutes walk. Nearest supermarket across the road 2 mins nearest restaurant 1 min. Loved it.

This was our 3rd visit to Olhao we love the village.The apartment was comfortable having a balcony overlooking the street was great to sit out and watch the comings and goings. Unfortunately for us the negative part was being on 4th floor we didn’t realize there was no Elevator this was a problem with groceries and luggage.Location couldn’t have been better, easy access to the harbour,market and train station.wishing you a good summer and hopefully meet again. Great apartment with everything on your doorstep
Wonderfully well equipped apartment with shops, bars, restaurants, a supermarket, train station, bus station, the old town area of Olhao and the ferry to the islands just minutes away on foot. We had a lovely few days here in December and would not hesitate to stay in this apartment again next time we visit Olhao. Ana and Francisco were great too. Any queries were answered promptly and they let us leave our luggage in the apartment until late afternoon when we were ready to go to the airport for our flights home, allowing us to enjoy a full day of warm winter sunshine without having to cart our cases around town.

Fabulous property for the centre of Olhao. Lovely 2 bed apartment with all the comforts of home, within easy walking distance of the markets and sea front. Ana and Francisco were the perfect hosts. They even offered airport transfers to and from the airport. Will definitely stay here again.

Spacious apartment in a great location.
We chose this apartment mainly for its location and the bonus of a roof terrace. There were numerous good restaurants within easy walking distance, and a supermarket, train station and bus station were all within about 5 minutes walk. We got the train into Tavira one day, and Faro another day, and we got the bus out to the Quinta de Marim twice - definitely recommended - we saw flamingoes there on our second visit. It was also only a short walk to the ferry terminal, and we went out to the islands several times, both Culatra and Armona are lovely, and we spent hours walking on the beach and swimming in the sea. The apartment was very spacious, with a lovely clean, modern kitchen, and being able to eat our breakfast on the roof terrace every morning was lovely - the only thing lacking, really, was a sunshade on the roof terrace, as it was usually too hot to eat up there later in the day - lovely in the evening, though. We also found the bed a little hard, so a softer mattress, or a mattress topper, would make all the difference. Overall, we had a great holiday in this apartment, and it was certainly good value for money. It was also lovely to be collected from the airport and taken back there again by Anna and Francisco; our flight home was in the evening, and they kindly let us stay in the apartment until late afternoon, which meant we could really make the most of our last day there.

Wonderful apartment in ideal location
Our family of four had a wonderful time in Olhao. Ana and Francisco were very helpful and always quick to respond to our questions. The apartment was very well situated - short walk to the train station and waterfront. Lots of great restaurants and cafes nearby. The apartment itself was very large and had lots of room for our kids and all their stuff.

Fantasic appartment
Got back yesterday. Great place to stay, close to all the amenities, good restaurants, lovely beaches. Francisco picked me up from the airport and was really helpful, he gave me lots of good information on the local area. Would definitely recommend.
